1st & Last

Golf Now res. 2pm, Hot day. Right next to the Bradenton Sewage Plant so the aroma was moderate TSTL. Right behind 2 3-somes of walking high school teams (womens and mens) and they took their sweet time. Greens had been punched within the last few weeks but of course we were never informed of that by Golf Now. Not a pleasant experience overall and we drove a bit to get there vs other courses on the east side of Bradenton. The course layout is fine but just not worth coming back, ever. Sorry.

Greens Need Upgrading!

We enjoy Heritage Harbor GC for the most part. Unfortunately the greens and green fringes are in pretty bad shape and are degrading quickly over over the last few weeks. Mixed grasses, fungus and uneven playing surfaces have made every putt an adventure. We will be changing our course selection until this improves. Good luck!

We are truly sorry that the course didn’t meet you expectations today. We have seen unusually high amounts of rounds played since October and to be honest, during the winter, as nights are significantly cooler, turf growth literally halts until about now when day and night temperatures warm up a bit. The weaker fairway areas are certainly showing stress of cart traffic and a few greens with weak areas definitely are in need of some new growth to kick in. We have just deployed nearly 10 tons of fertilizer to kick off a growth spurt as days get back to 80’s for the daytime norm and 60’s plus at night. We expect to see improvement in turf health in the coming weeks. Seasonal Spring broadleaf weeds also popped thru in recent weeks and we have a full time golf course maintenance group dedicated to getting them eliminated. Again, we apologize for some of the sore spots and please know that we are dedicated to progress in the coming weeks and months ahead.

Absolutely Pitiful Conditions at Tatum Ridge!

Played Tatum 3/3/20 with two others. We all agreed it was in horrible condition! We all agreed that they should close this place. It was that bad! It was obvious nothing had been watered for some time or just minimally. The greens were the absolute worst. Fungus patches were everywhere and on almost every green. The greens had been cut so short, recently sanded and rolled and were like putting on concrete or a billiards table. You would chip on to the greens only to have everything roll off like they were on a table. Pitiful! The Tee Boxes were for the most part devoid of any grass. Bare spots almost everywhere. One green had a mud hole with water streaming across along with very dry areas full of fungus. Just unbelievable! When we left we asked about the conditions and the course agent said "the irrigation system had been broke for some time and we are not sure when it will be fixed". There was a sign in the pro shop announcing that the course bathroom was "out of order" as well. Pictures tell the story even better so I have attached a few for your review. Looks like they want to sell this place. DON'T GOLF HERE!

How to Not Feel Welcome!

Hi all. My son had suggested we do the Heron Links Exec 9 at Willows GC. This would be my first experience there. Although the golfer traffic was light we immediately stacked up on hole one at 11AM due to a grounds keeper cutting on the first green. We were behind another group in the same position. The guy finally got off but then proceeded to the 2nd hole. He finished there in about 5-10 minutes but was then followed by someone taking their time manually watering the green. OGG! Somehow the 1st group scooted by only to leave us waiting at every hole for the cutting of the green . By hole four three groups including the original group in front of us and another guy who appeared from who knows where were sitting at the T-Box waiting for the cutting to be completed on that green. I then called into the clubhouse and the manager lady came out to discuss it with the greens keeper. He obviously could have cared less if he was holding up 3 or more groups or not and continued to cut the greens in front of groups in front of us. As we were so delayed we like many other groups on the exec course went back to replay holes. There must have been 6-7 groups doing this but because we had complained about the bad etiquette greens keeper we were asked by manager lady to jump ahead several holes & exit the course since "they had a tournament/group starting by shotgun within 20 minutes . We complied but then realized not one other group was asked to do the same thing and they continued to go from whatever hole they wanted due to the delayed play. When we finally exited the course 25 minutes later there was no group or tourney gathering in site and they had let others start on hole 1 and 2. Seemed to be a bit of some fake news going on here! Unbelievable bad etiquette and very poor customer service by the greens keeper and lady manager due to us complaining about the issue we noted that all were complaining about on the course. I for one will never go back to this place.
