We hadn't played this course in a few years as the prices have gotten expensive but got a deal on GOLFNOW so we thought we would try it. Our cart had a hole placement sheet but the other cart did not. The staff did not know what a hole placement was never mind which number it was. They had to go check it out. The first 3 fairways were very hilly where you had to walk up or down steep hills. The 2nd & 3rd holes the slope was so great it was hard to avoid the water. The holes were not marked (a couple of holes had really old markings that you could no longer read) and we were often unsure how to get to the holes. The tee boxes were often up or down a slope that you had to climb and not marked on the cart path and we often missed them and had to turn around. The ladies first tee box was up a steep slope that you could not see driving up and was not marked on the cart path so needless to say we drove past it then had to find a place to turn around and go back. The tee boxes were also hard to put a tee into and often on very uneven ground. Some of the tee boxes had railroad ties that were rotten and breaking away that you had to climb to get to the tee box. We were so disappointed with the overall upkeep of the course and it was pricey for the condition it is in even though we got a deal. The cart girl was the only positive we had on the course and she was doing a great Job

Because of all the rain it was cart path only. This was not a problem, as it put the course in better shape. Our tee time was 7:53 am but golfers had canceled and we got off earlier than scheduled. The problem was our 4-some was constantly waiting on the 3-some ahead of us. The group ahead of them was no where to be seen after the first hole. We spoke to the Marshall/Ranger at least 4 times but he refused to talk to them. The group behind us kept hitting up on us but we had no place to go. The group behind them were being held up as well. The round took over 4.5 hrs but should have been done under 4 hrs. We love playing this course and they are usually really good at making groups keep up. Very disappointed that the Marshall/Ranger wouldn't do anything today.

The fairways were good for this time of year. The tee boxes were easy to put your tees in. The green were in great condition and fast. Overall a great day. No cart today but they let you know and had a cooler with ice. They also had sand to repair divots.

This course has great views of the superstition mountains. It can be challenging if you don't play in the fairway. There are a few bottle necks but you just need to relax and enjoy the round. Price is okay right now but it can be pricey after the new year but no where near the prices of the other golf courses near by in Gold Canyon.

The staff make this course welcoming. The course was a little wet on a couple holes (no carts allowed) but the fairways are in excellent shape and so are the greens. It is not a long course but great for those of us who do not hit a long ball. There are no sand traps but there is water and desert to get you into trouble. We love this course.

Although we had carts it might have been quicker to walk as it was cart path only due to the fairways being still being quite wet due to all the recent rain. The course did not inform us until we went to tee off then the starter told us they were running behind as it was cart path only and everyone has to walk to their balls. I think it would be a nice course if it wasn't for the conditions.

We golfed with a man who without asking lit up a cigar. There was a group of 3 ahead of us also smoking cigars. the smell of cigars makes gives me a headache and makes me feel ill. I mentioned that I didn't like cigars and suggested that maybe he could join the 3 ahead but he ignored my request. There were lots of cigar butts on the course. If I go again I will make sure we have a 4-some so I do not get stuck with a cigar smoker.

The course is extremely hilly making it hard to locate ball. The ground was also very hard causing the ball to bounce once it hit the ground then it was guess work to figure out which direction it went because you couldn't see over the hill. The greens were hard with lots of sand granuales. Waited on each of the first 6 holes. No cart girl on back 9. Washrooms????

Had over 1 hour frost delay BUT they have FREE driving range, chipping, and putting to pass the time. Free Grapefruit water to take with you and you get 10% off meals. The course was Challenging with a little bit of everything. The back 9 did not have very good directions on where to drive for the next hole, and had to look closely to see what color the tees were. Confusing for new comers to the course. The front 9 had colored horse shoes by the corresponding tee boxes and easier to find. Could use a course map to see where you are going and what the hole looks like. GPS gave good yardage but little other information. Would have liked the GPS to have picture of hole and distance to group ahead. One cart gave food menu for ordering food on the screen which they could not get rid of. No menu on screen to return to yardage etc.
