Royal/Sabal at Grand Palms Golf & Country Club
Played On 12/01/2023Just A Little TLC Required
After the first two holes of the Royal - Sabal rotation, the course, the playing conditions & the layout improve dramatically ... that is except for the greens which are being invaded by an aggressive weed. Evidently the superintendent is attempting to eradiate these weeds. In addition, several sand traps are also in need of maintenance, edging, raking etc. Should these matters be rectified, this golf course would be rated a 4-star facility.
Cypress at Palm-Aire Country Club
Played On 11/28/2023In Need of Maintenance
Several tee boxes have been newly re-sodded & have yet to be rolled or cut.
Fairways & rough in need of attention & all the leaves littering the course should be removed.
Sand traps are decent but in need of edging & the debris removal &also raking of the sand is required.
Greens are generally in good condition & putting speed & roll are very acceptable other than hole # 13 & 16.

Unfortunately, not one good comment to post regarding this golf course!
Eagle Nest Golf Club
Played On 04/03/2023Terrible
From tee to green, & especially the rough were in awful condition since the course was not over seeded with winter rye grass & the Bermuda grass has just begun to grow. The greens were long , scarred & bumpy & impossible to putt. The sand traps are decent but need to be edged.
For $63.00 green fee … go somewhere else!
Thank you for leaving a review. Eagle Nest doesn’t overseed fairways to help maintain and protect the greens from Poa Annua. Poa Annua increases the bumps on the greens. Bermuda is the natural grass for the area which is completely different from bent grass and other Northern grasses. The North Myrtle Beach area has Bermuda grass which grows late March thru late November. In the winter months Bermuda goes dormant and is not dead!! We’re sorry for the tight lies during the winter season but we need to protect the most import thing, which is our greens. The other thing, we try to educate golfers about grain in the Bermuda grass greens, they produce a smooth roll down grain and slower roll into the grain. The grain usually grows towards the setting sun. I hope that explains the conditions and Bermuda. There are a couple of exclusive Myrtle Beach courses which do the same thing!!
Oyster Reef Golf Course
Played On 01/27/2022No Pearl
Unlike others, the course has not been over seeded &, as a result, dry dormant Bermuda grass is everywhere except the excellent greens & sand traps. Property well maintained & presented in that dead leaves & branches have been blown into the woods.
From early spring to the late fall, this course must be a real gem since the last week of January is too early for it to show its true attributes.
Barony at Port Royal Golf Club
Played On 01/26/2022Not So Royal
Unlike others, the course has not been overseeded &, as a result, dry dormant Bermuda grass is everywhere except the excellent greens & sand traps. Presentation & maintenance is very acceptable since winter debris (e.g. dead leaves & branches) have been removed the field of play.
From early spring to late fall, Port Royal would be in its prime condition since the last week of January is much too early.
Golden Bear Golf Club at Indigo Run
Played On 01/25/2022Needs T.L.C.
Tee to green overseeded with rye grass but tees need cutting since too long. Fairways & greens are very acceptable for this time of year. Sand traps need work & raking since there is a lot of gravel. Dormant Bermuda grass rough needs work since very sparse & bare in many areas. The entire course in need of a good cleanup of dead leaves & branches to improve its presentation & warrant the green fees being charged when compared to the competition in the area.

Old South Golf Links
Played On 01/24/2022A Southern Belle
Tee to green overseeded with rye grass & were in near perfect condition. Dormant bermuda rough was easier than when alive & growing. Sand traps were in excellent condition. Course knowledge of layout necessary since a few dog leg holes are not evident as to the direction.
Thanks for the 4 star review. We hope you get in another round at Old South. Be sure to check the stone markers on the tee which indicate the layout of each hole.
Olde Beaufort Golf Club
Played On 01/23/2022Off Season Disappointment
Unfortunately dormant Bermuda grass not over seeded. Sand traps were in awful condition. Greens were not too bad in respect to speed & roll but for $20 walking fee what can you expect..
Probably a very course from April to November.
Coldwater Golf Club
Played On 12/11/2021Disappointing!
A residential layout with potential that is in need of major maintenance since the greens need to be cut & rolled because they are presently unputtable!. The over seeded fairways need to be fertilized & cut. The dormant Bermuda rough is nearly non-existent & the desert areas need plants for definition. The entire course needs a cleaning of dirt, debris & garbage.
Scottsdale Silverado Golf Club
Played On 11/29/2021Wow!
The course was in great condition & a perfect course to start our golf vacation after a long layoff except that there is no driving range.
A relatively easy course with an unusual layout in that there is long distances between back nine greens & the next tee box but the electric carts are excellent.
Stonecreek Golf Club
Played On 11/28/2021Wow!
A perfect relatively easy course to start a golf vacation after a layoff of a month that was in excellent condition except there is no driving range. Unusual layout set in a "wash" with huge distances between green to next tee box on the back nine, but the electric carts are excellent.
The Club At Viniterra
Played On 05/09/2019Awesome
If you looking for a track that will take your breath away ... it’s the Golf Club at Vinitera! The huge separation from the green to the next hole resulted in almost every hole bering played in privacy! The ride on the golf cart between holes thru the various ravines was also stunning!
Although not in pristine condition (since it’s early spring) with rain & fertilizer being required, it was nevertheless very playable.
In two weeks the official newly constructed club house will open & the off course amenities will improve dramatically.
Kiskiack Golf Club
Played On 05/08/2019Terrific
A tremendous Hot Deal! An excellent course & layout that with a little additional maintenance would be outstanding. All, and there are many, sand traps require attention to correct the dismal state (water erosion, lack of raking etc). Also a few areas require some topsoil & grass seed to address some bare areas. The greens were pristine & nice speed as well as tricky to read the breaks.
Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us, as well as the 4-stars. Your comments regarding our sand traps and some of the course conditions are appreciated by our staff as we continuously work towards improvements, but we're glad to hear we could still provide you with a valuable golf experience here at Kiskiack Golf Club. We hope to welcome you back for an even better one soon! #KiskiackGC
Cypress Creek Golfers' Club
Played On 03/31/2018Way too early
Late March & early April is too early to play golf in Virginia! Dormant burmuda grass & spiked top dressed greens results in poor playing conditions. However, one month later would be pleasant. The course is player friendly. Relatively wide open for the first 13 holes until you reach the final 5 holes.
Stoneybrook East Golf Course
Played On 11/27/2017Opening Round
Disembarked the plane at MCO & went directly to the very close Stoneybrooke East G.C. Very inexpensive GolfNow Hot Deal for four golfers. Although the course is not in stellar pristine condition, it was generally considered in good condition. The track is very interesting, especially the Fabulous Final Four! Apparently, the restaurant courtesy cart are not operating on either Mondays or Tuesdays. Would definitely play the course again.
Oaks National Golf Club
Played On 11/25/2017Tune up round
Although the course layout was of interest, the course from tee to green was in terrible condition with dead to non-existent Bermuda grass!
However the G12 greens were quite good.
The Reserve at Orange Lake Resort

Just off plane & opening round on a very average golf course that hopefully is in the transition period between summer & winter grasses.
Stoneybrook East Golf Course
Played On 01/13/2017Hot Deal!
Real nice track that with more maintence would be exceptional ... but att the "hot deal" price of $15.00 was a bargain!
We apologize if your experience at our golf course was not satisfactory. We appreciate you taking the time to leave a review and providing us with feedback.
