We were blown away at the changes, it is beautiful. We did have trouble finding the course with all the new admissions to the resort areas. Finally spoke with gate attendant....found small sign to get to the course.
Staff are the best, carts are excellent. The course is manicured perfectly. Really enjoyed golfing at Mountain Shadows once more

It was very wet, a lot of muddy spots , but the lush green grass and layout of the course was excellent.
Will definitely go again if we find a Hot Deal ..

We really enjoyed golfing Red Mountain. This is not an easy course, and we did have to deal with some serious wind, but great challenge. Course is in excellent condition. Will definitely return if we can find a GolfNow deal.

Great weather helped make our round so enjoyable too. Staff, carts, flow on the course, course conditions were excellent. Seemed the greens were faster than normal, but all in all, was a real treat. Dinner after in the clubhouse, very busy, 2.5 hours to get our Daily special ( fish & chips ). Before, 1/2 hr. to order drinks & get a menus. Never had this happen before, normally dining is excellent....but waitress blamed the kitchen and did not apologize for anything. Had to chase after her to pay.

We have golfed many many courses 6 months of the year when we come to Phoenix area. We golfed Maryvale once , before it closed and it was BRUTAL. When we heard Grand Canyon U and associates were putting so much money into recreating this course , we could hardly wait to play. There are soooo many very deep sand traps, and when we hit to the green, the ball would roll into the sand trip. Very frustrating.

Staff greeting were excellent. Starter was very nice . No waiting to tee off. No waiting, the flow of our game was comfortable. Some holes were long and fun, the short par 3's were even challenging too. If we can get another Golf Now Hot Deal, we will go back, will not pay the regular price.

Staff were wonderful, very nice & could not do enough to make our experience the best. We paid a low rate on Golfnow, lucky us. Putting greens were bad, but course was fine. Went to restaurant for dinner, and they had no coffee...had to make a pot - half hour later got a cup, but no cream available. Poor waitress did everything she could, very attentive, but little she could do above and beyond. The meal was less than good. Won't ever eat there again. Staff and course rated very good.

Tee boxes & putting greens were amazing. Fairways were unbelievable. Great variety on this course, definitely not for beginners. 2 driving ranges and putting practice area the best. Mondays the restaurant is closed. They do not serve breakfast.
Pro shop was closed at 5:00, we finished at 5:00 PM and we were disappointed - we wanted to buy a couple of golf shirts. We have booked again next week and are going back early to go to the Pro shop shopping and have lunch.

We considered purchasing a card for Deser Canyon, but do not see any chance for dinner after golfing, so will just continue to golf and the find somewhere to go for dinner.
The staff are terrific, facilities are very nice, cart girl is excellent, but NO restaurant is a negative. Not sure if you had a restaurant set up before, and possibly no one supported it, but this is our ONLY. Negative.

Challenging greens for sure. Lost a few new balls, that hit the Lightning fast greens, and kept going into the water hazards...which are plentiful. Really enjoyed the course, staff very pleasant, fun course to play,

So excited to play here. All was amazing, BUT we were told at the starter station, cart path ONLY.
EVEN 90 Degrees would have been a bit of a strenuous game, but NOT being able to go to our balls on this beautiful, long , wide course. We are more than fit, but a little disappointed to play Cartpath ONLY. Made this a much slower than normal game.

We really enjoyed our round, and were fortunate to golf with a terrific gent. Greens are fast, so challenged to pay attention. Hit my best game in this past year. General grounds condition is 8 out of ten.
Snowbirds just arrived, and once again wanted a good 18 hole course to start off our winter season.
Went for late lunch,food was excellent, and we are very fussy. Thank you .

We have golfed all over the world, and can honestly say the is absolutely the worst course we have ever played. Came for 18 holes, did 9 and packed it in. The only one tied for being so bad is Maryvale. No excuses because this a municipal course. Charged the same as many other courses, save your time and money...this is a disgusting course, and no one seems to care either way. Will stick to green courses that take pride in their course.

As snowbirds we come to golf for 6 months. Tried many courses thanks to Golfnow, but one of the most lush, clean, and well manicured courses of all is Starfire. The rates are comfortable, the carts are good, the staff are excellent. Food is terrific. We have golfed at Starfire probably 10 times since November as well as many other courses, but still like Starfire best.
