Indian Springs Golf Club
Played On 11/14/2020Fun Round
We are visiting from Seattle. My husband and I were paired with two men who were enjoyable to play with. It was a bit slow on a few holes but it wasn't bad for a Saturday.
The Cedar River at Shanty Creek
Played On 05/20/2019Beautiful Course
We played on May 20 at 9:30 am and it was very cold and damp. We had the golf course to ourselves. Even though I had rained a lot the previous day the course was in great shape and the greens were faster than they looked. We are visiting the area from Seattle but if we come back we will probably play this course again.
Kiskiack Golf Club
Played On 10/25/2017Enjoyed the Course
My husband and I were visiting from Seattle and some local people recommended this course. It did not disappoint. There are several blind tee shots from the white and back tees so having a cart to go to the top of the hill to check for people in front was helpful. There are also a lot of sand bunkers that are strategically placed to slow down play.
ChampionsGate Golf Club - International
Played On 01/06/2017Beautiful Course
The course is challenging but very beautiful. There were magnificent birds everywhere. The staff was all very friendly. Near the end of the day a piper walks behind the restaurant and plays a medley of tunes. The only improvement I could use I would be more gluten free options in the restaurant.
Rose Hill Golf Club
Played On 02/22/2015Course Not Maintained
Yes, it was February 22 but there was very little grass on the course except for some dormant bermuda rough. The greens were like paint on dirt with some little tufts of green grass to throw your ball offline if you hit one. Only a few of the bunkers had any sand in them. We heard that the course had been sold and that the new owners are planning to fix up the course.
Wailea Golf Club - Old Blue Course
Played On 11/1/2012Our favorite course in Hawaii
Old Blue is our favorite course in Hawaii. I play with my husband who is 68 years old and has a 12 handicap. It is always wonderfully groomed and the design is old school. No tortured ground or blind, tricky shots. Just beautiful Hawaiian landscape. The fairways are wide and the greens are challenging. The carts are equipped with GPS and water is available at several locations. Value for the money is good when compared to most of the courses on Maui, but I can't bring myself to call it "great" which was the only other option that Golf Now gave me.
