Refuge Golf Club at Gulf State Park

All in all

All in all, the course is an economical event. While it is a public course, it is easy, and the staff are very friendly. I’ve played it twice and will return. The cart paths need lots of work. They provided sand for divits but no scoops. The course needs more TLC but the price for the round was worth it.

The course is a public course so does not get the attention that the more expensive private courses receive. Cart paths are a bit of a mess. Fairways are OK. Greens are OK. Better than some of the private courses in the area.
While a bit of wear and tear, it is a public course. Overall, it was money well spent.

Great condition

Gulf Shores Golf Club’s course is a nice course. The grounds staff should be complimented for the condition of the fairways and greens. They were in excellent condition. Play was slow. I suspect they allowed too many walk inside. Otherwise a good day.
