Fereneze Golf Club
Played On 08/11/2019A hidden gem!
Found the course on the Internet, and will definitely play it again on our next visit to Scotland. The course was in great condition despite torrential rain, and the staff were friendly and accommodating when having to rearrange due to the weather. The greens were immaculate, running fast and true, and the views from every tee to green were amazing. A fantastic track to play if ever you get the chance, you won't be disappointed.

First time around this track, and definitely won't be the last! Course was in fantastic condition, and the the quality of the greens was second to none. The surrounding views from 1 to 18 are a amazing, and the staff friendly and welcoming. If ever in the area, do not miss the chance to play here, great value for money and time we'll spent
St. Mary's Golf Club - Championship Course
Played On 10/21/2018What a gem!
Played the Championship course mid morning on a Sunday. Despite an extended period of heavy rain the week before, the course was in great condition with very few soggy areas. The fairways were closely cut with plenty of run despite the previous weather. The greens though recovering from some grass disease ran quick and mostly true. The course layout provides a test for all levels of player, and while not the longest course there are enough holes to get the driver out and launch one if you can keep it fairly straight! Would highly recommend a round at St Mary's, and will definitely be heading back soon.
Glynneath Golf Club
Played On 09/11/2016What a gem!
What a find this place was! Very friendly reception on arrival, and nothing was too much trouble. The course played very well considering recent heavy downpours, no temporary tees or greens, and only the odd soggy patch between them on a couple of holes. The fairways and greens are very well maintained, and the layout does test your mental game as much as the physical. Opting for accuracy over power on numerous holes proves the wisest choice, as while it's well cut, the 1st cut of rough is thick and can ruin a score. The bar afterwards was welcoming, the staff and members friendly and chatty, and if the aroma of food was anything to go by, the Sunday carvery should be a must! Will definitely be returning to Glynneath soon for another round on this wonderful track, and to sample that carvery!
