Forty-Niner is a very pleasant golf course on the east side of Tucson. Very busy but it is run very well. All personnel always very welcoming.and accommodating. Beautiful views of the Rincon and Catalina mountain ranges. I will definitely return with guests.

San Pedro has reshaped the playing experience at this course. With beautifully well maintained fairways. They have really worked hard to improve the tee boxes and greens. They have also started to rope off some fairways to make them as pristine as I've ever seen them. Players will see the vast improvements and will better stay on cart paths. Cudos to the groundskeepers for these amazing improvements. Still work to be done in front of hole #1 with lingering standing water and some landscaping improvements around some tee boxes but such an improvement I had to stop into the bar and have a drink or two and enjoy the view from the club house just to cap a wonderful experience.

Beautiful afternoon golf with plenty cold water. The views of the Catalina Mountains are an added joy to one of my favorite municipal golf courses around here. Staff is pleasant and the burgers and beer just right.

After playing only 7 holes on this courses and couldn't hold the girls on my clubs, I asked for a 9 hole rain check. Sorry they don't give rain checks. What? Why would this be a policy? So check first before you play. We did need the rain however.

Playing Torres Blancas was such a great time for a 7 a.m. tee time. A beautiful golf course next to the Santa Cruz river with the Santa Rita mountains as a backdrop was wonderful. Very fair for the average golfer. Just after a week when the area had extensive rainfall I expected mosquitoes in plentiful numbers and came prepared. All the rain must have left the pesky bugs behind and left beautiful fairways behind and hairy greens. I'll take that any place. Friendly people and a nice place for a bite to eat and a bottle of brew after an amazing 18 holes. Be sure you take mosquito protection just in case they decide to return.

A beautiful time to start nine holes a 3:15 on a sunlit afternoon. This golf course offers the best fairways to hit off of in this area. Fast but true greens were just too temtpting to leave. Nice breese as the sun was dropping and lighting up the Santa Rita Mountain Range with the slanting light of autumn. A fine nine holes of golf.

Played with three strangers. That was the first tee. we became friends by the fourth hole and enjoyed the rest of the round as old friends would have. Just very friendly.

Challenging course for me, I'm 74 and am about a 17 handicap golfer. Yes boxes need attention. I played with a couple of nice people but they played slower than I usually play. Still had a good experience, the staff is always helpful and very friendly. Fairway grass is very short with a lot of hard spots. Probably due to not dry conditions and not many people on staff this time of year. Better conditions at a cheaper price close by.
