Delray Beach Golf Club

Delray Beach is a classic Donald Ross Course.
It has the bones of a great course. You can see it. Feel it.
If only the city of Delray would put some real money into it and bring it back to the greatness it once had and deserves.
Most greens are raised as DRoss is known for.
The greens need serious work which is would create the fair challenge that Ross is known for.
You can usually get to a green if you play the hole correctly but then you usually have to contend with superior putting to come away with a great score.
They have spoken about an infusion of support for this course and it would be wonderful to see it. In the meantime. Enjoy

A great course. Really nice staff. Challenging in a variety of ways. Very enjoyable. Greens were recently airated which effected putting. But the layout and other qualities allows it to get a pass. Really enjoyed it.
Winston Trails Golf Club

Winston Trails has a policy of shared Golf Carts.
They say that with a clear vinyl wall between passengers provides safety and complies to local health code.
I brought a friend and we did not feel comfortable with this. We requested to be placed in separate carts.we were told this is management policy and they could not honor our request.
Thus for our personal feeling of safety we cancelled our reservation and went to a competitor course.
Thank you to Golf Now for honoring our cancellation.
Yes, we had a 7:35am tee time this morning through CaNam and had to cancel because CDC protocols are not adhered to on this course.
Do not play there, all other courses in the area have single rider per cart.
Disappointed.

Delray Beach Golf Course is a potential gem. It is a tragedy that money which was slated to improve this historic course was withdrawn.
It has all the classic feels of Donald Ross that if finances available could be returned to greatness. It is a shame Hopefully it gets the funding it deserves.
The people are very nice. They are trying. You feel safe playing there.

Always in great condition. Lots of doglegs and water. Challenging but a great course. Solid fairways. Consistent greens.
Can get windy in your face and when that happens at least a 2 club adjustment. If you want to score well. All about course management.
A great course in every way.

You can see the great bones of a course that has been around for decades.
The greatest accolades go to staff. Genuinely nice staff.
We got stuck behind a foursome that was painfully slow. Have played this course when wife oprn and we flew through.
The course is in ok shape. Greens vary in speed.
A challenging course. Liked the back better than front excellent finishing hole.
