Desert Hills Golf Course
Played On 11/23/2019interesting course but fair to play
Played as a threesom with a fellow from Utah, even though we had never met, felt like close friends by the end of the round. Pace of play was fairly brisk for a Saturday, with a tournament in the morning. Greens were somewhat harder than we were used to, but ran smooth, and not overly fast. Lots of opportunity to get into trouble, but outs on most holes.

Played On 11/06/2019Gorgeous greesn, great layout, everything else, NYEH!!!
Overall course layout, gorgeous and interesting. Good choice of tee lengths.
Greens, very very challenging and in EXCELLENT condition.
Challenging layout with sand guarding all the greens! At least I think it was all of them, on BOTH sides, usually.... tough for we who do not hit high approach shots.
The fairway grass was dry and sparse with wet low spots .... maybe this is the way it is in SoCal in November?? , we dont know, being from out of state. .... but we played "winter rules" and moved the ball OFTEN to put it on a little patch of green.
Terrific personality on the Starter, Ed. He was efficient, polite, and personable.
The staff in the Pro Shop were incredibly disinterested. Too bad .... turns out if we had paid an extra few bucks the GPS in ou cart would have been activated ..... but, Who Knew?? Maybe the two guys in the Pro Shop did, but with the barely 30 seconds attention they offered us .....???
Pace would have, could have, been good .... Pro Shop allowed a five-some out in front of us, then did NOTHING to monitor their progress on the course. By the 4th hole our 4-some was standing, waiting, for every hole, with the people behind us close on our heels. Finally, the Starter came by on the 13th hole (he was off shift and caught up to us, playing by himself).. He drove ahead to check the situation, then informed the group in front that they were a full TWO holes behind!!
I dunno. Wd are visiting in the area . I think there are better courses to choose from. Sure did like the greens, though .

Played On 06/10/2019trees galour
My wife and I walked this mainly flat layout, every hole has numerous old growth conifers of all species. The course is well laid out with a variety of challenges, lots of well placed sand traps. We teed off at noon on a Monday and were very pleased with the pace, although the course seemed fairly busy we finished 18 holes in under 3 1/2 hours.
Rio Bend Golf Course
Played On 12/18/2014shortish but has lots of teeth
The course is not very long, but has lots of trees, slope, obs and well placed sand which makes it play more difficult. The fairways are lush and easy to play off of, the greens are a bit bumpy but we heard they are improving nicely.
Blythe Golf Course
Played On 12/11/2014gorgeous green and fairways
Greens are fast, smooth and receptive with plenty of slope, but not so much as to make them unfair. Fairways and green side rough is lush and very playable.
We played later in the day, with some open holes in front of us so our pace of play was very good. But both days we played we noticed 5 somes on the back nine, and wondered if we played earlier what would the pace be like?
Rivers Edge Golf Course
Played On 12/04/2014Fair and fun
We had heard good things about the course and weren't disappointed. Most holes are straight forward, with ample fairways with good grass, rough was fair. The greens were a little slower than some, but ran true and received the ball well.
Mojave Resort Golf Club
Played On 11/27/2014Lots of sand and fast greens
Played on Thanksgiving as a twosome, got 18 holes in just over 3 hours. Some of the traps were a little hard, which is great for longer shots and tricky for green side ones. There were some small rocks showing in some of the traps, other than that the course was in very nice shape.
We saw Roadrunners and a coyote on the course.
Thank you for the compliment and we hope to see you again soon at Mojave Resort!
Best Regards

Lake View Executive Golf Course
Played On 11/09/2014Rough course but lots of fun.
The greens had been plugged lately so they were a little bumpy, but fast enough. The course is rough, but with lots of long par 4s, unfortunately it was a little too we in front of the greens so shots seemed to plug if short.
Shuswap National
Played On 10/10/2014great greens, fast and soft
Although I rode this time, walking the course is a good workout, walks between green and tee are short, but there is lots of undulations on the course.
The Rise Golf Club
Played On 08/14/2014Great views and good track
The course for the most part was in good shape, despite the long hot weather spell the area has been in. Greens were reasonably soft and very smooth/tricky, and the fairways very playable. Staff was very friendly, and informative.
The only poor element of the course were the bunkers, our group found them to be very hard and with too much large grain in them, making shots around greens difficult and debris on the greens a problem.
Shadow Ridge Golf Club
Played On 07/04/2014Fabulous GolfNow Price! Great walking course!
We haven't played here in a while, but my husband and I decided to make the drive from Vernon when we saw a Hot Deal on Golf Now. We prefer to walk and this is a great, flat course to walk; very pretty with lots of water features and well-trimmed trees.
Enough length, well-groomed -- easy to find your ball off the fairway. Greens and fairways are in good shape for the most part, but too many hard-packed, brown spots near the greens. ....some crazy bounces, inconsistent landings, no grass to chip from, in places.
Sadly, the kitchen was closed at 7 PM Friday, so cannot comment on food or service.
We enjoyed our day and will return soon.
Mountain Falls Golf Course
Played On 03/27/2014What a lovely find in Pahrump!
We enjoy this course. It is different every time we play, depending if there is wind and what direction the wind is blowing.
This is the third Spring we have played this course and are happy to report that the fairways are green and in good condition and the greens are lovely!!
There are enough humps and bumps and sand traps on the fairways to make you plan your shots. There is enough water to keep it challenging and very pretty! Be aware the sand traps have variable hardness.
The staff in the pro shop, the beverage cart persons and the young people in the cart barn are friendly, professional and welcoming.
We were VERY disappointed that our 1:08 tee time worked into a +5 hour round. Even though the (excellent and new) cart GPS kept telling us the "intended" pace of play there was nary a marshal on the course to assist in speeding it up in front of us. Funny ... in years past we have seen and spoken with marshals numerous times ..... did they trade in the marshals when they got the new carts this Spring???
Hi RicknJudy. We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass on your feedback to the teams in charge so they can work to make changes. Thanks for visiting Pala Mesa Resort. We hope to see you again in the future.
