you get what you pay for. only one of us was playing tee to green. the other only putted because of recent surgery. Conditions: tee boxes were mostly weeds, horrible shape; fairways were thin and dry but playable; greens were the best part of the day, fast and true. Pace of play was slow on the front 9, 2.5 hours. back 9 was slowed down by 4sum of 20 something guys 3 groups ahead who looked like they were only there for the party. we left after 15 holes and 4 + hours. there was a 4sum who just teed off on a par 5 (group ahead was on the green), and a 2sum ahead of us still to tee off. Will not return any time soon.

Having played Jacaranda East a couple of times, I was anxious to play west. The course has mostly good reviews, and the weather conditions were absolutely perfect. We were both somewhat disappointed in the course conditions. The greens were surprisingly slow, considering how many people wrote that they were very fast. The fairways were thin, with little feel underneath your ball. Greenside bunkers were mostly hard packed sand. And there was NO parking available at noon on a Wednesday. Wide fairways and decent layout were player friendly. For us, however, it was not worth a 45 minute drive.

i have played the course several times recently. the fairways are a bit burned out in spots, but not bad. i like the layout. some challenging holes, but fair and pretty easy to score well. sorry they are closing down for six months starting in May, but promise a much better course when they reopen. a good value and always an enjoyable round. recommended.

We have been trying out less expensive area courses the past two months, with seasonal prices so high. This course was better than some, but still not worth $52, even with (good) lunch and beer included. fairways were thin, greens slow and spotty. avg layout, not overly challenging. don't think we will return, but could be fine for some players. lunch with beer was actually very good.

This was our third round in a row at Municipal courses, and the third consecutive "No return." The course was inexplicably wet over much of the service, though we have had no significant rain for some time. The fairways were extremely thin, could not get good contact with irons. Rough was even worse. Greens were not consistant, and the ball did not roll particularly well. Wide fairways were nice, and helped for the nearly 6,500 yds for white tees. Pace of play around 4:20, not too bad for a muni. Will not return. Better courses for a few dollars more.

Based on recent reviews we expected better. The fairways were extremely thin and hard, difficult to get a club under the ball. The layout was boring, except for the fun 9th hole. Greens were slow, and overseeded. The staff was nice, looks like they have a nice pub which we did not use, clean bathrooms on the course. Pace of play was pretty good, under 4 hours with two couples playing ahead of us. Drove past the entrance the first time since there is only one little sign on Moccasin Hollow Road. Would not play again.

This was our second time playing the course. The highlight is the lightning fast greens. They roll true, but have some killer contours. Five hour round did not sit well with us, but it happens. Great value. Will play again.

challenging course. lots of elevation changes for Florida course. aerated greens were not much fun. would have made the course much more difficult. will play again.

This was our first time playing the course, after visiting PSL for years. It was a pleasant surprise! Nice layout, good conditions, excellent greens. No frills clubhouse but friendly staff. Highly recommended.

sea oaks is a fun, challanging course. it has undulating fairways, many sand traps, and equally undulating greens. since it is early april, the greens had just been aerated, and the fairways were thin. but i have played here before, and know the course will be in great shape in a few weeks. highly recommended.
