Noble Hawk Golf Links
Played On 05/13/2017Call and ask before booking
You have to have a list of questions lined up for this staff before you book a tee time. We drove over an hour to play here. Asked about replay in advance and told that they offer replay.
Not only was there a scramble behind us, there was another large scramble getting ready to start when we finished.
At one point, goofball ranger told me that we need to close the gap with group in front of us. Not only were we ahead of pace of play, we had to wait for group in front of us on our next shot. I.e. no gap.
Golf course staff, if you wish repeat customers, clean up your mistakes.
Blackstone Golf Course
Played On 02/07/2016You play the courses on gulf and I'll play Blackstone
I've been playing the courses all along the emerald coast. They are pricey and offer some nice views but they are typically flat with very little elevation changes.
So I played Blackstone. What a difference? There were so many elevation changes that I though I was playing in the hills of Kentucky or Tennessee. They had a lot of rain and the greens were in poor condition; however, the rest of the course was excellent. Staff was friendly. Food was excellent. Double burger was huge. If you into that, they have a good selection in logo clothing. I would recommend this course.
waste of money
Fivesomes of women in front of us. Pace of play was horrendous. Ranger told me that they were members and have the right to play fivesomes and the right to not allow us to play through. This course is NOT friendly to guests.
Course itself was not in very good shape. Greens were rough. I did like some of the layout. It's way overpriced. It's priced to try to keep guests away. It could be $10 and I wouldn't play this course. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place.
Raven at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort
Played On 02/01/2016Winter play here
Course was very soft caused mostly by a fair amount of rain. Weather in this area is generally jacket weather in the winter months. The greens seem to be overseeded with a winter grass (rye?). I've always enjoyed playing this course even though I struggle with somewhat soggy fairways.
Yarrow Golf Course
Played On 10/12/2015Final moments for a great golf course
Discovered Yarrow Golf club this year and made the two hour drive three times to play it. Enjoyed every round. Can't imagine this anything else other than a golf course. What a shame.
Bridgewater Golf Club - East Course
Played On 08/29/2015Better than expected
I have played a couple hundred course across the USA. Bridgewater provides fair challenges for all skill levels. Greens were firm but receptive. Any houses near course were far enough that they were not an issue. Lot of ponds, streams and covered bridges. Enjoyed the uniqueness. Didn't have a chance to stop at the grill but the enclosed veranda looked inviting. Go play!
Autumn Ridge Golf Club
Played On 07/16/2015Four star course, not
Played during the middle of the work week in the middle of the day. You could tell its a course where business execs hang out. Group behind us seemed antsy even though we played the front 9 almost half hour ahead of recommended time. Sure enough, they quit after nine holes to get back to the office.
Course conditions were nice but the course itself was forgettable. It winds through a neighborhood of nice houses and even has several holes along the interstate. I wonder how many wayward balls find their way into someone's windshield at 70mph. Not good. Good course for the locals but anyone visiting northern Indiana can find better than this.
Riverbend Golf Course
Played On 06/12/2015Best greens in the region
The course itself was ok. It has some risk reward aspects to it. I play this course because the greens are excellent. It can get busy so be patient and enjoy.
Citrus Springs Golf & Country Club
Played On 01/28/2015lots of potential
Its sad to see a course that was probably at one time a great place to play. Everything was run down including the condition of the golf course. I think the general theme for golf courses in the area is that they are struggling to stay in business.
The Fort Golf Resort
Played On 06/13/2014Put this on your MUST PLAY list
This was my first time at the Fort golf course. The course was in great condition. We played right after a morning scramble so it was wide open in front of us. The course plays tough. The rough area is small and sometimes overgrown. So, you will pay dearly for any mistakes. If I play this course again, I would back off from driver on many of the holes. Definitely a course for course management. Thanks to the gentleman in the pro shop for missing my Pete Dye card and stamping the back of my hand. Ha. Nice to meet a friendly staff instead of stiff shirts.
Baytowne at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort
Played On 02/14/2014Global freeze takes golf courses
Baytowne Golf club like many around north Florida have been beaten up by the extreme cold weather. The greens were rough and damaged in many places and need attention. The staff that greats you when you walk up always expect you to pay them something for lifting your golf bag onto the golf car. I am so tired of this. Overall, the course is still fun to play with easy to difficult challenges. Proper club selection is a must.
Eagle Glen Golf Course
Played On 11/04/2013Deceptive Response from Pro Shop
I called the pro shop at Eagle Glen before I purchased a tee time. I asked about course conditions. Response was that the fairways were soft but everything was fine to book a tee time. So when I go to the course, I find out that it's cart path only and the tee boxes were closed. If I would have been told this in the first place, i would not have come.
Mystic Hills Golf Club
Played On 10/12/2013Golfnow price higher than course rate
Course is in pretty good shape. It does need some maintenance. Unlike the adults that typically run the pro shop, the young gal in the pro shop was acting like a jerk. GOLF NOW charges MORE than the golf course charges normally. GOLF NOW rate is $48 and you can just pay the pro shop $35 for 18 and cart. Why use GOLF NOW at all?
That's why you always call ahead and get information about the course before you head that way
Lassing Pointe Golf Course
Played On 9/28/2013Too much hype
Booking through Golfnow.com was simple and cost effective. I am an eight (8) handicap. Lassing Pointe golf course was extremely busy and greens showing signs of overplay. The course has an over-abundance of hazards especially those where you can lose golf balls. Also, many are unfair such as hitting center of fairway only to lose ball in tall un-kept scrub because fairway slants toward it. I can't recommend this course. There are plenty of golf courses that are not as busy, lower cost, and more enjoyable.
