This is a good golf course to play, the lay out is good and as a 4 handicap I though it was challenging and fair.
It would be fun for any handicap.
Course condition was really nice for the time of year with all the recent heat.
Pace of play was great but the course was not busy. It looks like they sell 7 and 8 min tee times which will definitely make play very slow if the course is busy.
The little interaction I had with the staff was fine, just did what they had to.

This is a really nice golf course.
Pace of play was good, they currently have 10 min tee times so maybe it was that.
Layout is good, although it is a course you need to be good off the tee, nice condition and the greens have plenty of slope to make them tough.

Staff were friendly and helpful, the bar and restaurant is ice and looks out over the 18th.

Definitely recommend playing Black Gold golf course.

This is a great course to play.
The layout is really fun and the visuals of the course always give you a nice distraction.

The greens were not great, many old pitch marks and do not look like they have been looked after that well recently.

But always a fun course to play it was just a shame the greens were a little poor.

Both courses are in really good shape.
Always well looked after and the greens roll well.
Both courses are well layed out, some really enjoyable golf holes to play and see.
Both courses are challenging so play the tees that match your ability.

Highly recommend these courses to play.
Worth the drive and money.

Although I would say the pricing would stop me going and playing on a regular basis.

This is a good golf course to play.
It always seems to be in good condition, the greens are nice with good speed for the average golfer but they also have a lot slopes, the fairways have good grass and they are wide enough to make the course fun and fair.
Tee boxes are always good.
It also has good practice facilities if you want to work on your game.

The only problems I have is the "clubhouse" facilities and staff.
They don't have a clubhouse, maybe they run out of money but after the round you won't be hanging around for a drink and some food.
And I have never really experienced customer service there.
Very average.

But I go to golf courses to play golf and this is a very good golf course.
Fun to play and speed of play is usually good, about 4 hours.

Played Sunday evening using a Golf Now booking.
Great value.
It was twilight so speed of play was not an issue, course was empty.

This course is always in really good condition and it has a fantastic lay out.

But it is long and can be very windy so make sure to use the tees that match your ability.
There are some long holes and it is a quarry so balls can be lost easily.
Although the fairways are wide enough to give everyone a chance.

Play the correct tees and this course will be a lot of fun.
And the views and scenery make it even more enjoyable.

Played here a few times and pace of play is always a problem.

Not this time. 4 hours on a Sunday teeing off at 11am.
Ok it was not really busy, but then it was not quiet either.
There was always a group just in front of us and a group just behind.

Greens were fantastic, fast (maybe a little too fast for weekend warriors), smooth and true.
Fairways and bunkers need a little work but not much, maybe struggling with water issues and just add a little sand.

Not great customer service though.

Is it worth paying $75 ? Probably not.
Is it worth $60 ? Yes.
If you can get a tee time even cheaper than that then it's a bargain.

And this is a really good golf course.
It has some great holes (11-18) in particular and tough undulating greens.

Worth checking for sure.

Course is a lot of fun.
Lots of great holes and some tough greens that are fast and true.

The problem with canyon courses though is errant shots are harshly punished.

So play the right tees for your game and pack some extra balls and enjoy.

Definitely a course worth playing.
