Tianna Country Club
Played On 07/05/2019A pleasant surprise
I haven’t had as much fun on a golf course since I played La Reunion in Guatemala 5 years ago (destroyed last summer by the volcano it was built on) and both of the courses at Giants Ridge last fall. And that is saying a lot. We had an absolute blast playing hilly Tianna country club. If I lived closer I’d play it every week. It was in terrific shape and many of the holes have a lot of interest. The hills gave it an amusement park kind of side fun just navigating the course. Generous fairways are easy to hit, but the many elevated tapered off greens made it challenging. The greens made it a little tough for me to get close enough to the flag to card birdies, but there will be plenty of pars for a mid handicap golfer who can drive the ball 240 plus yards. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun outing on a layout that’s sure to be different than your typical course. The tap beer was cold and the Bloody Mary with beef stick was pretty darn good too.
