I woke this am with a medical issue and was unable to play. GN would not let me cancel, so I suppose I've lost my green fee. Very, very, very disappointed that considering the use I've made of GN, I could not be granted a pass for an unforseen issue. It will certainly impact if I use GN going forward.

GN policies are not made for people, but for the business. Stupid me. F... you're cancelation policies. A GUUDE perhaps. I've spent a lot of money via GN. Looks like the end. I'll miss it.

Sorry, the course itself was in good shape, the greens while fairly slow were smooth and true, but the pace makes the round a poor experience.
Even just calling the following group up, especially on 10, might get folks moving. Not only does the slow play take away a good deal of enjoyment, it is surely costing the course in real dollars.
Again, sorry, but over 5 hours for a round is too much.

First time playing. Quite disappointed. Greens were best part, held well for the most part, and fairly smooth, decent speed, A bit tough to read, but that could be me! A lot of great green grass everywhere.
Fairways chewed up however. Very disappointing.Seemingly uncared for. No mix, no one replaced divots, Bunkers ragged. Tees as well. I understand challenges for conditions due to circumstances, this is more than that. I don't mean footprints, more like abandoned except for the sand. itself.
Challenging layout, played to my handicap, 4 1/2 hours. Won't head back anytime soon. Good luck.

So, I'll try to keep it simple and not be a troll. DON'T PLAY HERE YET.
First of all, finding the place is difficult. It shouldn't be. To have so many people waste so much time just trying to find the place. This can be fixed. Don't blame google. The Babcock website is useless for golf info.
On the good side, the grass is green. The greens were fine, and will be a challenge when the course fills in.
Card had tee box numbered, course had colored markers, no numbers. Plus, watch out on tee boxes. They've decided on a unique color system for tees. Ladies tees red? Nope. The sand is good sand, but new and will not be ready for some time as well.
Typical Lewis layout. Wiiiiiiddde open fairways, with the usual hidden slopes down to the water, taking a good shot and creating difficulty you can't see.
So, all in all, I'd suggest you save your dough and curiosity for the fall perhaps. This course and it's operators are not ready.
When done, it will be a long, open, so-so track. Good luck.

Got a hot deal t time and could be more pleased. Starting with staff greeting, course layout, condition, and more, (plus I had a good round), I would very much recommend this place. I will certainly be returning. Greens in particular would in very good condition, rolling true and fast. Great par 3 signature hole.

It became clear, when after 1 hour, we were just teeing off on the third hole that we were in for an ordeal. After 2 hours and 45 minutes, we got to #9, and after that hole, I left. While I don't expect 3 1/2 hour rounds, even 4 1/2 would be a bit slow. 5 1/2, is unacceptable. Course was only fair condition, lots of rough spots all over, including the greens. Told staff just too slow, they said "too bad, it should be faster on the back though", basically. Won't return, won't recommend.

Great example of the desire to build a golf course, without really having a good piece of land to build it on. Some holes interesting, but overall, narrow, and tough to find errant hits. Tees need some work (and sunlight and air) Bunkers we NEVER raked. Divots all over indicate poor care and/or guidance to players. A lot of public play is no excuse for not having the bunkers raked for days, even when it's obvious marks were both fresh, and old.

I realize that I play a lot of different courses, and am a bit picky about course conditions. I take in whether it's public, semi, or private, number of rounds, cost, etc. I paid very little to play here courtesy of a last minute GN discount. So, perhaps, I should not complain.
However, the condition of the course in general, and the greens in particular, was not very good. It is obvious that there is a limitation in the agronomy available, as very little of the course was consistent in what types of plants and grasses dominated. I expect won't play this course again.
That being said, the folks there were terrific. We (a young man of vacation) were first out, and finished in just a couple of ours. We caught the staff on the course and they were friendly and accommodating.
All that said, I suppose many will find the course adequate for a friendly round. I won't recommend it, but as I said up front, I'm a bit of a course snob I guss.

I probably would have gone with 3 and a half stars if I had the choice. The pace was very poor. It started out ok on the front, but came to a 'wait on every shot' halt on the back. Overall, the course was a reasonable surprise. I was paired with a couple who had a third lady, and they were very pleasant to play with. The greens in particular looked a bit stressed, but actually putted well, and the fast speed was a nice surprise. The sand in the bunkers (though I only had a couple shots), was a nice texture, firm, and very playable. Something about the overall condistion of the course, thin in many places, is why I'd have gon 3 1/2 instead of 4. But, the design was interesting enough, with challenges aplenty, smallish greens (that held pretty well), and fair landing areas from the tee (played at your correct length). All in all, had the pace been better, it could have been a solid 4 star course. All you could want in Jan in Florida.

I won't go into details, but the condition of the course was not very good. Tees rough, greens poor. I suppose I'm used to a minimum of quality, but this course lacked in many areas. I would suggest finding someplace else to play.

First, let me say, there was some confusion with my booking. T time of 6:54 thru Golf Now, paid a good price and used bonus dollars for extra deal. Course was surprised by number, but let me play, telling me "we'll give golf now a call". Went around first out in just over 2 hours for 18. Lovely.
Course was much better than when I played a few years ago. Played through workers about 9th hole, so back side wasn't spruced up, and greens uncut, and a bit rough. However, on front, it was obvious that greens were in excellent condition (as was rest of course). They do get premium dollars in season, 99 now, and even more come Jan. There are certainly better bargains around. With so many good courses in the area, choose value perhaps over a name.

I'll try to be calm in writing this. I have not had a worse experience with a golf course since I can't remember when. The greens were awful. The fairways were awful. The bunkers poor at best. The people were very uncaring. The layout was I suppose ok, but so overshadowed by the condition of the course that I really couldn't notice. Seriously, this course must be about to go bankrupt, as it's receiving no care apparently. I booked and paid for 18 holes, but was so discouraged that I left after 9 and went elsewhere to play. Do yourself a big, fat favor, and go anywhere else until and unless there is a major change in management here. Sorry to be so blunt, but I've played many courses from brilliant to average, and this is the worst imaginable. I have pics of the greens, but it's not worth the effort. I could say more, but what's the point. As I said, do not go here.

Nothing especially good, or especially bad. Just an ok course. If you get a deal, fine, if not, you might choose another. Conditions were fine, bunker actually very nice and playable. A few tricky spots if you're not familiar with the layout, otherwise mostly what you see is what you get.
