Nice even with aerification

Babcock is in great condition. Awesome to get out there for $25 and not even seem like the greens were aerified. Greens rolled true all day and even with all the rain, course played firm and ball still rolled out in the fairway.

Fun Course with Challenging Layout

This course lives up to its hype. It has all that look for in a course Fast greens, wide fairways that provide a good challenge from both tee shots and approach shots. The course was in great shape when I played and pace of play was kept up throughout the round. Staff was friendly, and very reasonable with situations presented. All in all a great course to play.

Demanding off the tee

This is not the longest, but straight is required. Find the short grass consistently and you should fare well. Course was in great shape, definitely would recommend.

Best Course in Southwest Florida

This course is unparalleled. Immaculate fairways in the middle of a drought. Greens are the truest in the area by a mile and are kept up year round. I forget how many tee boxes there are but it's around 8. Any one can play here. It is a true test of your game and you get every kind of shot in the bag. Some fairways are line with water, some with bunkers, some risk reward holes. Some just flat out challenging shots. All around you're not going to play a better course for the price here. If you are within 45 min. It is worth the drive. If you live close don't play anywhere else.

High expectations not met, not always a bad thing

I have a buddy that said that he played here back in May in a US Open qualifying event. So, on my trip to Orlando when I saw the tee time on Golf Now for $25, I knew I wanted to play it. Knowing that this course was used for players to qualify for the US Open, I had high expectations.
The course wasn't quite what I expected from a course that is used for qualifying players for the US Open. That doesn't mean that I the course was bad in any way, however. I just believe that players that make it into the US Open should have passed some very difficult tests. There are a few holes (#2 in particular) that bring some great difficulty into play. Just not enough throughout the course to strike fear. I could see good players over a few days, shooting well below par on this course.
My experience was (on a non US Open standards basing) a great one.
The course has a very extensive driving range/practice facility, large putting/chipping greens, and the pro shop is fully stocked. After getting checked in, I was allowed to go out on my own instead of being matched up with a random group. The course played well for midday and showed many water hazards and bunkers. You need to hit it straight from the Blue Tees, and hit it well to score. Not many close calls for Birdie for me on the day, but I did save many pars as I shot right at 10 over. I have only been playing for around a year, and thought that I would play much worse. Maybe I'm getting better!!

Great 1st Time

I was in town on business and had the chance to get a morning round in. The course was bustling on a Monday which isn't typical where I am from, but it was a delight to see. It was also easy to see why the course was bustling. The pro shop attendant was friendly and had me out on the course with no issues. The course was in great shape with a fun/challenging layout. The greens were above average speed and had barely any bad spots. The bunkers were soft and playable, and the fairways showed a decent amount of roll. The only bad spot for the course was that the tee boxes were a bit scuffed up. Other than that, the course was in great shape and a pleasure to play on a Monday morning.
