Course was in decent condition, some brown spots around the fairways, but the Greens were in very good condition. Not an overally hard layout, lots of places to miss, not a whole lot of places to get in trouble other then water & bunkers. Their rack rate pricing seems a little steep to me based on the layout and that it really isnt anything too overally special considering where it is. But if you can pick it up at a good rate, it is a good course and if you play half-decent it can be a feel good round of golf.

What a mess of a course. Better grass on my lawn, much more kept too. Holes 10, 11, 16 are all under temporary greens, but the temp greens on these holes are better then the greens on the other 15 holes. There is no definition from the Fairways to the Rough, and there isnt much grass left, its mostly weeds. The Cart Paths are also starting to be grown over.
Would absolutely, positively, 100% NEVER come back. I wouldn't give it 1 Star in the review except it forces me too..

Playing golf literally across the highway from Mount Kilauea is quite a interesting feat. You cant beat the scenery, views of the mountains and you can see the steam from Kilauea in the distance. The Nene (Hawaiian Goose) is an endangered species that roams the fairways. The Greens were in very good shape, the Fairways as well. Proshop staff was nice, good deals in there as well. The one negative if you could call it that was the lack of marked cart paths' and it can get a little confusing trying to find your way.

Course was in very good shape considering it was December. Greens rolled fairly well and the fairways were in good-great condition. This is a tough course if you are wild with the driver, there is not much forgiveness if you miss either Left or Right.
