This is all the golf course you want…hard holes, easy holes and the easy holes are difficult! You’ll use all the clubs in your bag.
Greens were a bit rough but the roughs were very good. Enjoyable round.

I love this course, I have always made it a point to drive from the Disney area to play here. I love the mix of holes…short, long, tight, open. It has it all. But it is in very rough shape…the first 15 fairways haven’t received enough water, by a long shot, and the last three were a swamp. The greens were firm but pretty bumpy. Need water and to be rolled. The roughs were sparse, large areas of bare dirt. My hope is that someone will take over and restore the course to its former condition.

The last time I played here, they had trouble growing grass! After their major overhaul this course is in great shape. It is as tough as any course in the Orlando area because there is water in play on every hole. You can’t get careless with any shot or you probably won’t make a par. The course is fair but tough. I will play here many more times. It is an hour drive from Davenport but we’ll worth the trip.

Greens had just been too dressed but we’re still fast. Play was 4 1/2 hours, which is not bad here because it is a difficult course. Wish I rented closer so I could be a member.

Fun and very challenging for average golfers. Advanced golfers will do very well. Enough tough holes to keep your attention. Course in good shape. Play was pretty slow…no ranger ever seen. Would go back any time.

Played here last year but the course was not as well maintained as it is now. We could only play nine holes because of weather, rain and very cold, but we will go back next week. Best fairways we’ve played this year and the greens are fabulous, running at least 11 on the stump. For $50, Huntington Hills beats a lot of courses charging over $100. We will go back many times, and we are staying in Orlando! It is relatively short, at 6400 yards, but it has all the challenge you can handle. Great job, grounds crew.

I hadn’t played here in 30 years. I’m 75 now and the course let me know why I felt so old!! It is a great course but you’d better be able to hit your driver long to get up the hills. The uphill holes are brutal, even from the white tees. The course was in really good shape, the greens hold very well. There were some diabolical pin placements for a resort course…no need for PGA tournament placements for non-PGA players. My playing partner’s handicaps were +2 and scratch and neither one broke 80. The pace of play, 5 hours, was unacceptable. No ranger to be found…anyone who teed off after 1:00 pm, would not have finished.

We used to play here many times per Florida vacations and when it closed we were very disappointed. They have made a fine start at getting the course back to the way it was. The course layout is the same, very good challenge for any golfer. It needs to fill in on the fairways and rough but the greens are in very good shape. The driving range should be using mats, if you can’t grow grass, don’t fight it. We will be back many times.

This course is in great shape, greens were firm but hold well and were pretty quick for public golf. It is a great layout, the holes just don’t’t let up on difficulty. For a purist, this is where you want to play. P

Played here last year and it wasn’t very good. This year it is much improved. Front nine needs a bit of work to better define the holes. Backside has good greens and is in pretty good shape. Keep up the good work. The staff is very friendly, loved the bar.Waitress/bartender was very good and very nice. A good experience on a very cold day.

This course is one of the best in the Orlando area but 50% of the game is played on the greens and the greens were very disappointing. They had weeds growing in them, were crusty and bumpy. I have played this course for 15 or more years and enjoed it immensely but not this time. If you missed a green, you could not make up a shot with a good chip because of the green conditions. The roughs and fairways were in excellent shape. The greens need to be reseeded with a new strain of Bermuda grass that does not need to be over-seeded in the winter. It was frustrating. Won’t play again until the greens are right.

This course is a gem in central Florida. Greens were a bit slow today but the layout makes up for it. Will play here as often as possible.

Greens were slow and very bumpy, fairways sparse, rough had the best lies. This used to be one of my favorite courses in the area. After today, I will not be back until there is a change in greens staff.

We played here 3 weeks ago and the course was much improved from previous years... today, it has regressed to below average. The grass in the fairways is sparse, the greens were very sparse, putting on no grass or dirt in some areas. We waited on every shot, every hole. Did not have much fun.

Always enjoy playing here. It is the best course we play while in the Orlando area.

I was skeptical, reading some of your previous reviews, but was impressed with the conditions of the course. The last time I played here, last year, it was a disaster. This time the greens were in good shape and fast, the fairways were a bit spotty but not bad, the rough was good. The waste areas were being power-raked, which was really needed. All in all, a very good round of golf on a course we used to love to play. We will be back.

I have not played here for quite awhile because the last time I played there was very little grass on the course. The fairways are much improved, greens still need some work to get consistency. Didn"t look like the pins had been changed in at least a week. Cups were very ragged. The layout is a good one, lots of water and it plays pretty long. We will be back again.

Quite a few of the previous reviews were positive and, for us, were misleading. The course is very challenging, especially for seniors. Some holes are unreachable for average golfers. If you haven’t played here before, the blind hazards are unfair. The greens were pretty slow and for large, undulating greens it’s not good. We were guessing all day about speeds. The overseeding must have failed...fairway grass was very sparse. It was playable but many lies were difficult to play from. The guy in the pro shop thought he was doing us a favor just by being there. The one bright spot was the bartender, who was very friendly and helpful.

We will not go back this year, maybe in a few years.

The only concern was the speed of the greens... quite slow compared to normal. I play here 3 or4 times when I’m in Florida for the winter and it’s one of the best around. We will be back again and again.
