Course was in good shape, though starting to show some dry patches as the Phoenix area has started to warm up, and we haven’t had rain for months. That said the greens were excellent.

Speaking of the greens. “Diabolical Dye” was definitely living up to the nick name when he designed this course and the greens. Nearly every green is Elevated. Most are narrow too. They were very firm today so, you absolutely couldn’t miss left or right. I’m better than average hitting flop shots. That was my saving grace. As Today, I was a flopping fool.

You are definitely challenged really to hit quality shots into the greens.

Tough as it can be if you’re not striking your irons well, it’s still a course to enjoy. Great scenic views of the nearby mountains and even all the way into the valley on a couple holes.

Been playing this course for 4-5 years. My first time playing here was almost my last. The staff was very friendly and professional. They let us know they were starting renovations and improvements and asked us to please come back. With each year I’ve seen great improvement.

It’s a great value!

Very few courses at this price point are as nice.

Good Bar and Restaurant too.

Course is looking really good. Almost in fall conditions. One of my favorite courses in the East Valley. Though it is in the middle of a neighborhood, it is not a typical country club layout. Great layout. I advise you pay close attention to your tee shots. Several tee boxes have narrow clearances by nearby and overhanging trees. Nothing that makes it unplayable, but some tight shots for sure.

Over the last 3 years I’ve been so happy to see the improvements this course has made. It was a lot of work and that work is really paying off. They’ve long had a great staff and now the course conditions are mirroring the staff. Nice to see that they are continuing to put in work to keep it in great shape and improve more. Best bunkers in that area.

Best value in the east valley

I’ve been playing this Course for a few years. They’ve made recent investments on improving the conditions of the course and it’s really starting to show. Adding the Golf Boards as an option is great too. Wish I still lived in the area. I’d be playing more often. It’s still worth the drive. Greens were in great shape. The course is a bit of a typical municipal course layout. That said, there are several great risk reward holes. Love number 6. Drivable par 4, if you can thread the needle of bunkers. Enjoy!

Front nine invites the Big Dog out to play. A lot of wide fairways. Back nine tighten ups and has a few more water hazards to test your control. A great island green par 3, that even though it's not terribly long, you absolutely have to stick the middle of the gtreen, or the slightly domed green is gonna send your ball for a swim. Lots of elevated greens that are in great shape right now. Really nice practice area, to work on all areas of your game.

Bar and restaurant is well above average with a great view.
We will definitely be back.

3rd time I've played this course over the last 3 months. A few months ago you could see they were in the middle of doing a lot of work on the fairways. The greens and tee boxes were good and I liked the layout. The price was great so I thought I'd play it again. Played again last month and the work on the course was beginning to show nicely. Much improved again today. I know it may be a bit too costly at this time, but once they add some sand in the bunkers, this course will be great. Like all valley courses, they're in typical pre-overseed conditions (longer rough, greens a little long and slow). So glad they get that, and offer such a great rate to make up for it. Looking forward to returning here after overseed.

Driven by this course for years, when visiting Scottsdale. Finally had an opportunity to play. Played the Palm course. Good course. Challenging greens. Looking forward to returning and playing the Pines course.

Loved finding this course. Though its location is fairly further east in the valley, than I expected, it is worth the drive. Incredible pace of play. Played as a twosome. Had 2 threesomes ahead of us. Never even gave consideration of asking to play through, as we finished our round in just under 4 hours. Not many of the courses in the valley have beverage carts on the course on slow weekdays. They did here. Nice layout to the course. Yardage may make it seem easy, but there are plenty of challenges awaiting. Conditions were good and I'm sure they'll hold through the summer heat.

I'll be making the drive east again soon.

What a great course. Played the Lakes and really enjoyed it. Discounted afternoon rate started at 2. Gave us more than enough time to finish without being rushed. Will be a favorite Reno stop from now on.

Course was ok. Didn't quite live up to some of the reviews I've read. The facilities are really aged. I was very pleased with the staff and their friendly attitude. I did notice several options for lessons and reasonably price clinics. Might play there again if the price is right. Not a must play course for me.

Course was in great shape. The summer heat has hit the valley, but the course hasn't shown any of the heat damage that is common this time of year. Great price through Golf Now. I've paid double that for a morning tee time here.

Really loved this course. With views of the Saguaros and nestled up against South Mountain, this is what my friends from out of state we're picturing when they came out to play some Arizona winter golf. Please add a little more water stations on the course. Other than that, we loved it and will be back.

Very nice course. Kind of a old style country club layout. No surprise there. It very likely was a country club when it was new.

Can't wait for them to build a permanent structure for the clubhouse and snack bar. The course is as good or better than many resort courses in the area. The Mobile box buildings for the clubhouse and snack bar are completely out of place

Played the "Gold" course. That's just one of the 3, 18 hole courses. Has a classic design. Was informed by the starter that the Gold course is the oldest of the 3 courses. Designed in the 30's. The mature trees were certainly proof of the age. The fairways, tees and greens must be receiving water from the fountain of youth. They're in great shape. Especially considering their age.

Only odd thing on the design was. Making the turn from 9-10 isn't at the clubhouse. It's at one of the furthest out points on the course. Be sure to utilize the mini snack bar and facilities after the par 3 8th. Big upside to the Odd design, kept the pace moving right along.

I'll be back to play the other courses soon.

Great value. Not the typical, winding through flood control and houses design. The valley has far too much of that. Especially in the Northern communities.

Definitely an accommodating, knowledgable and friendly staff.

One of my favorite municipal courses in the southwest.
