Challenging course especially on a windy day. Large well maintained greens. Plenty of water that will make you think about your t-shot. Good value for the money. Southwood has hosted The McKenzie Tour which is a PGA managed event.

The WGC used to be played The Gallery before it moved to Dove Mountain. A challenging course from any tee box, well maintained with friendly staff.

After driving to hit my second shot on the first hole two golf balls whizzed dangerously close to my head without anyone yelling "fore." I was told by a player who plays the course 3 times a week for the past 12 years, that players off the 10th tee box like to take a short cut through a few trees in order to get to the 10th green easily. Unfortunately, many right-handed golfers tend to hit a fade or slice which makes the ball land into the first fairway making this hole fairly risky.
Another hole that's hazardous is the 2nd hole. Once golfers finish they must drive their golf carts back into on coming balls from the 2nd tee box as golfers don't realize or don't care about the potential of hitting into golfers who are making their way down the golf cart path to the 3rd hole.

After the round I mentioned this to an individual in the Pro-shop who wasn't concerned. I'm surprised they haven't addressed this in some manner to make the holes safer. I certainly won't be coming back.
