Why aren't you watering? Course is bone dry. Even the sod you laid across #18 fairway a few weeks ago has died. It was never watered. Many dead/ brown spots on tees & fairways. Winter was tough, but, NOW is the time to resprig or sod winter killed areas. What are you waiting for? NOTHING is being done about the dead areas. I NEVER see maintenance crews fixing dead areas. #18 green has at least 25 old hole positions still visible. Does anyone there know how to change a cup properly? I'll play somewhere else until this course improves.

Played here for the first time yesterday. Friendly staff in pro shop, good practice range, small putting green. Played with 2 other golfers in just under 4 hours, only slowdown on last few holes of back nine, need a ranger to patrol more to speed up slow players. A group ahead of us had a walker hitching a ride on one of the golf carts, slowing us down. Very challenging layout. Mini verde greens not as good as others I have played around Charlotte, but were better than other bentgrass greens I have played. Will be back soon!

First time playing Rocky River. Friendly staff makes you feel like a private club member. Good driving range, played with 3 others in under 4 hours. Very challenging layout in very good condition. Greens were the best I've played on a public golf course. I will be back soon!

Played Olde Sycamore for the first time from the blue tees. Staff was very friendly in pro shop and on course. Teed off at 9 am with two others. Played in about 4 hours looking for many wayward shots. Great tee boxes, fairways and roughs. Bunkers have enough sand and were well raked. Greens had too many ball marks, but putted very true, although turf was a bit too wet trying to keep up with the hot dry summer causing some thin, mossy areas. Overall very enjoyable round, I will be back again!
