This course is a county run course that is built in the old flood plain. The course is quite forgiving if you have a tendency to pull or hook your shots, but if you push or slice your shots be prepared to bring a lot of balls, as the drainage ditches run along the right side of most of the fairways. The landscape was a little browner than I had thought it would be since the Vegas area recently had a lot of rain and snowfall that melted away, but that is just a personal observation and did not affect the playability, The staff were very friendly and helpful.

For the most part this was a very good course. Have now played both the Palms course and the Mountain courses. The Mountain course has very challenging greens for the casual golfer like me. A lot of slopes and undulations. Biggest complaint though is also the condition of the greens. A lot of them seemed to be burnt out.
