River Ridge Golf Course
Played On 09/10/2020Best condition this year
While most courses fairways were burnt because of the heat this year ,River Ridge was perfect. The Fairways were great and Greens very receptive. Great food , Enjoyable day
Not like the old Winnapaug.
I remember playing here in the 1990's and early 2000. Great greens, beautiful fairways and tee boxes , just a great Donald Ross design . Well today this coarse was no way near that. I must admit the greens were in great shape . But the fairways and tees not very good. I play here often because the layout is spectacular especially the ocean holes. It seems that it is taking a long time to get the course back to what it was. They have made some improvement ,i hope they continue.
Green Valley Country Club

Sometimes this course gets too pricey, but if you can track down a deal then it is definitely worth it . It also offers a nice practice area.
North Kingstown Municipal Golf Club
Played On 08/18/2019Slow Play ruined the round
The back nine pace slowed down to a crawl. There was a foursome in front of us that had three holes open ahead of them. People behind us called the clubhouse and so did I. The ranger finally came out when they were on the 16th hole but it did not help because when we got to the 18th there were two full groups on the tee waiting for the slow group to putt out. A 3 hour back nine.
Green Valley Country Club
Played On 10/07/2017Long course but worth it
I usually play 6200 to 6400 and the golds were 6000 and whites 6600 yards, so I played whites and it was challenging . Especially when the wind comes in. Remember you are on a island so choose the tee's carefully. Other then that the track is pretty cool and conditions were great even though it is at the end of the year.
The Brookside Club
Played On 05/27/2017A must play on the Cape
Being that it was early in the golf season ,the course was in great shape. I played from the white tee's and it was very enjoyable and challenging. The yardage sticks in the fairway 's were very helpful ,because it is a placement course from the white tee's. The blue's are around 450 yards longer. It is a track that you have to play a couple of times in order to do shoot low. I will make it a point to play again this season. Not a walking course.
Typical Ross, fun and challenging.
A great Donald Ross design. Amazing views of the ocean. Tricky greens that can be small at times. Challenging holes like 14 and 18 but playable. It is just a shame to see a Ross course in poor condition like this one. Fairways need water, many bare spots.
