Deer Island Country Club
Played On 06/20/2019Up and coming
This course is not for the faint of heart. If water scares you, beware. This course is 18 extremely challenging holes, all of which have at minimum one water hazard. This course will test your accuracy of direction as well as distance control with the slightest miss putting you in the drink. Hole 7 is key example with water coming in on two different parts of the fairway you can’t hit it too far off the tee or you’ll be looking at penalty strokes. And you thought alligators were your biggest threat on this course!
The course was undergoing some maintenance on the greens due to some severe dry weather but 90% of them were in great condition. The fairways were extremely well maintained and the club house was brand new (still undergoing some construction inside). You can tell the newest owner is putting 110% into making this a top tier course. And at the price of less than $30 a round you cannot find a better challenge in central Florida. I would recommend this course to any and everyone from a 3 handicap to a 30, you will enjoy this challenge.
Deer Island Country Club
Played On 06/20/2019Great layout & inexpensive
This course has a great layout. Water on every hole to challenge your every shot. One slight miss could put you into the swamp or lake. The owner is really putting together a great course. On a comeback from being not so well taken care of so the greens are a little rough and some crab grass here and there but definitely worth playing again!
Homestead Springs Golf Course
Played On 9/10/2013Great layout and challenging holes.
This course has a few creeks flowing through it to challenge the distance of every player. Sometimes you'll need to lay up to avoid them. The conditions are very well kept up and the staff is very nice. I would definitely recommend this course to a friend.
