The Golf Club of Quincy
Played On 04/13/2019Good value
This course is a hidden gem. Ricky and his crew do a great job keeping it in shape. Layout is both fun and challenging. Sevveral of the t-boxes could stand some leveling. Occasionally, they allow fivesomes sixsomes and even eightsomes to play together which can be a little disconcerting. Overall, great value.

Looked forward to our round here. We had an 8:15 T-time. We arrived at 7:30 to hit a few balls, chip, and putt prior to our round. No one was at the course the carts were not out, the Pro shop was not open. No holes cut on the putting green or flags on chipping area. No restroom available. They did not show up and open until 8:00 A.M. We had to go off cold no warm-up. I have never played at a course in my life that was not open for warm-up prior to your round. No one seemed concerned in the least about it. This is supposed to be a Country Club. The beginning of our day left a sour taste and definitely tarnished what should have been a good day. I am not sure we will play here again unless we have a 12:00 ttime maybe they can get out of bed and provide a little customer service.

I want to compliment the Supt. Ricky and his staff. Experiencing damage from Michael including over 240 trees down they have done a great job of cleaning up and putting the course in tip top playing condition. Much respect to those guys.

First time to play this course. My son and I were seeking refuge from Hurricane Michael as we live west of Tallahassee and were without power. We stayed in Fernandina beach. We were lucky to find this gem. We needed some fun after the trauma of the storm. The course was in great shape and staff was so friendly. Just what we needed.

Great course with elevation changes, very few homes lining course and beautiful woods surrounding and wildlife abounds. The course is fun and playable for middle of road golfers such as myself but also presents a challenge to those more skilled. This is a hidden gem. I retired to the area last year so happy I found this place. The Supt. does an excellent job keeping the course in shape the greens are awesome and the new sand in the bunkers is very playable. The restaurant is also excellent with delicious buffet lunches 4 days a week very reasonably priced.

Played On 02/06/2017Hidden gem. Challenging layout, however fine for less skilled players as well. The greens are immaculate and roll true some of best I have ever played. Serene layout with abundant wildlife. The changes in elevation, abundant trees and minimal homes abutting the course is a welcome change from the south Florida courses I played before retiring to Tallahassee. The experience from pace of play to interaction with friendly staff from maintenance workers on the course to those in the clubhouse is laid back and casual. The Mon.- Fri. buffet is delicious and enjoyed by players as well as folks that drive in from town to enjoy. In addition, they have menu items and be sure to ask for daily specials. I love this place!
