Staff were warm and welcoming, special shout out to starter Frank, we had an issue with couple who we were being paired up with getting out a bit earlier , they did not want to play with us lol for whatever reason, Frank handled the situation professionally . I have had similar experience working at a course in Canada Frank made an awkward situation better.

Starter read us the riot act , “ you take no more than a double bogey the pick up!” I assume they were working on tee areas , ladies tee was moved so far up the fairway that after the men waited at whites ladies had to wait again so as not to hit into the group in front. In some cases this turned par5 into a par 4, not well received by the ladies.No marshalls on the course to monitor pace of play . Played here many times very disappointing.

Front 9 tee areas a mess , most green’s diseased or unputtable , back 9 like a different course tees and greens in great shape .

Have played this course many times before evolving to MontHill, an overall gateway experience, friendly involved staff, great course conditions, and a phenomenal clubhouse with a delicious meal to follow.

Played this course for the first time 45 years ago, i get the fact that due to the amount of rain we could not take out a cart no issue, but the length of the grass, the amount of grass cuttings on the fairway was a joke, if you were 5 yards off the fairway your ball was lost, unacceptable , we should have been warned/notified by staff and we NEVER , even with the Golf Now rate , should have been charged the rate we were charged they should have been giving it away, waste of a round waste of good money, so disappointed!

Enjoyed a fantastic Fall golf game at Monthill, along with the great value, the course was in great shape and offered a good test of your game for all skill levels. Will definitely play again.
