I’m relatively new to the DFW area but have played many courses in North Dallas. This one is definitely the most mature - with large trees and a wonderful meandering layout criss-crossing Watters Creek. The course seem well watered, which is an issue I’ve see at other public courses I’ve played in the area. Due to the mature trees, the devastating wind I’ve become accustomed to over here wasn’t nearly as bad - although it still certainly plays a factor in your round. This layout was enjoyable, and even with COVID-19 precautions in affect, we still felt well accommodated, with multiple passes by “The Turn” concessions stand. Pace of play was great for what I’m used to out here. We got paired with another twosome and let a twosome through around the 6th hole - other than that, we never had issues with waiting on others, or others waiting on us. We finished the round as a foursome at under 4 hours.

They aerated the greens on Monday - no disclaimer on GolfNow; no discounted greens fees. Honestly would have played elsewhere had we known. Showed up for a 7:15 tee time at 6:45 and waited with about 14 other guys until 7 when they finally got us checked in.

The course was nice, I think the aerated greens just put a bad taste in our mouth from the beginning, especially since they looked like they were in stellar shape before they were punched. The starter was friendly and listened to our complaints about no warning of the punched greens, and apologized even knowing the guy in the pro shop threw him under the bus. The cart lady was also nice and came around often. Very fast pace of play.
