Wellen Park just opened, has a trailer for a clubhouse, one porta-pottie and one water station per 9 and yet charges north of a $100 per round. I think 'prime time' tee-offs are $149.

There are 2 or 3 really wonky holes to accommodate for future housing. The 534 yd par 5 5th hole does almost a complete 180 degree turn such that the green is only 290 yds away from the tee albeit across the preserve.

This is an $85 course, at best, not a $125-$150.

Unlike other courses (The River Club) that talks about pace of play and then misses the mark totally, Misty Creek, with a full tee sheet were bang on in there pace of play estimate of 4:15. Great layout, great condition

Was warned by others and the reviews about how tight the course is but I "played it forward' as was recommended and it was a great round. Greens were browned out because of the recent frost but were fairly quick and ran true (green is just a colour)

Back 9 is in great shape. Front 9, not so much. Lots of patches on tees, fairways and greens.

The starter was one of the rudest people I have met. He acted as if he owned the golf course (maybe he does) but others I talked to said he is always like that. Not sure how he keeps his job.

There was no driving range.Greens and fairways were patchy. One hole was reduced to a par 3 due to renovations.

My price was a 'hot deal' wouldn't pay half of that to play that course

Arrived early (7:00) to have breakfast (8:16 tee off). Told in pro shop restaurant not open until 8:00 but snack bar had hot sandwiches and coffee.

Turns out snack bar was closed but restaurant was open. By the time the food was served no time for practice range. Barely made it to first tee on time.

Greens in great shape. Tee boxes were shaggy.
