Decided to play Friday as I and everyone else had been unable to play all week due to the cold weather. Hooked up with 3 great guys, Doug and Jim from New York and Daniel from Chicago. Played horribly on the front 9. Thee doubles, a triple and a quadruple for a smooth 51. I told Daniel I wanted to shave 10 strokes off on the back nine.
I bogeyed 10, birdied 11 then missed 8-12 foot birdie putts on 12, 13 and 14. On 15 I put my tee shot in the drink and ended up with a triple bogey. I three putted 16 for a bogey. On 17 I hit a palm tree with my tee shot. With my next shot I hit 2 more palms. My next shot with a 3 wood was headed for the center of the green when it bounded 30 ft. in the air after hitting the cart path. As it was headed for the trap at the back of the green it hit the flag stick and dropped 4 feet from the flag. Not bad I thought. 3 palm trees a cart path and a flag stick and I have a short birdie putt. Obviously I proceeded to miss the putt. I made up for the missed putt however as on 18 I hit my tee shot into the hole for an ace. The other guys were more excited about it than I was as they said it was the first one they had witnessed.
All in all a great day with some really good guys!

I have played Lansbrook many times. I like the layout. It is challenging but very fair. Some holes are surely more difficult than others. While the fairways leave something to be desired as areas are missing grass and you usually are playing from very tight lies the greens were excellent and in the best shape I can remember. They would have been even better if more self centered golfers would repair their ball marks.
Pace of play was good and all in all had a great day playing with 3 golfers I had met that day.

Course was in great shape. Fairways excellent as were the greens. Greens are difficult. Fast but fair. Difficult to read due to contour changes. Back nine much more challenging. Very scenic as well. Some beautiful holes. Hadn't played this course in years and forgot what a pleasure it was to play, though I didn't personally play well. Clubhouse is fantastic as was the staff.

I love the Eagles Forest Course. Played with 3 friends who had never played there. They loved it. Staff is very friendly. Very nice layout. Challenging but fair. Greens were in excellent condition. Scenic with some of my favorite holes on the back nine. Very much enjoyed the day there.

Friend and I both bought Insider Plus Cards through Bardmoor. The card was advertised to provide reduced rates at participating coursed plus a free round at the course where the card was purchased (Bardmoor). When we tried using the cards the course would not honor the free play option which was the primary reason we purchased the cards. They scammed us both out of approximately $45. Neither of us plus others I have taken to the course previously will ever play there again!

Greens were very nice for putting however either needed more water or a better base as they were rock hard and wouldn't hold an approach shot. Course design was very good. Way too many traps. Shot placement is a must. Pin placements very tough.Tight fairways with little grass so shots need to be hit cleanly. I had played the course 3 years earlier and seemed to me the course is not in the same condition.

I have played East Bay a number of times due to proximity. Staff is friendly. Tee boxes and fairways are OK. Course is fairly open with a reasonable number of traps and hazards. Pace of play is not bad. The greens however are the worst in the area. They are extremely slow and you can watch your ball bouncing with every putt. Unless you are playing for less than $25 or don't care about the condition of the greens this course is not worth the money.
