everything was in great condition except the tee boxes could use a little bit of work, leveling. otherwise, i wouldn't let that from keeping me from coming back. pace on thursday morning/afternoon was excellent! weather was beautiful, a nice challenging course, which has become one of my top 5, especially at the price point. love the hole look variations. some courses i hesitate to pay $80-110ish...not this one

you can pretty much count on the wigwam courses being in decent to excellent shape and well run. this round did not disappoint. . we will be back

nice course. we have golfed many times in the past. it was probably in some of the best shape i've played there in years, BUT it was cart path only...? i respect the reason as i respect courses trying to maintain the shape they're in for a season especially coming upon the busiest time of the year, however, after playing, we noted there were very few areas that seemed to dictate the cart path only rule. fairways were essentially firm with standing water only in traps(not terrible) and washes, (where it should be) greens ran slightly slow, but true. rarely did i feel the need for lift and place. pace of play was not bad(4:40) considering the cart path only rule. they should have notified players prior to making the tee time as my wife just had her hip replaced 2 mos ago and if not for us really really needing/wanting to golf for first time of year, we relented and very glad we did, paired up with a great guy from our neck of the woods(wisconsin) made the round very enjoyable. the question of "did we walk'? well no, but kinda... course is well run and managed. never saw a ranger however, but surprisingly, really wasn't needed.

However, I have played this course numerous times over the past few years…at $40-60 that is the sweet spot. But at $70-90+(incl. taxes) I expect a little more. It is a value course. When they tried to charge north of $140, a few weeks ago?? Do not let the yardage deceive you. It plays longer which is nice. The greens were running way too slow(stimp 6ish?) tee boxes are torn up and unlevel difficult to distinguish fairway from first cut and no marshal to keep people moving. If they want to charge mid premium levels, I would expect some of that money be reinvested. I hesitate to give the course a 3 rating and not recommend because I like the layout, the challenges the character of the greens and the people are great! Hopefully this was just a weak moment hopefully they can turn things around

great course, professionally run and maintained, country club-like feel. tee box to green this course is well run EXCEPT for the pace of play. with golf becoming more and more popular, it may be time to offend a few people who don't know how to keep pace of play within a reasonable time frame. yes, i mean both too fast and more importantly too slow. this is all part of proper golf etiquette and decorum on the course. there are always exceptions, but asking for a 4-4.25 hour round on a course of this caliber shouldn't be unreasonable given normal circumstances.

with the exception of the pace of play, we've always enjoyed this course. it's just challenging enough to keep your attention. pin placement changes everything. the course location will surprise you with their changes in elevations, challenging water hazards and well placed bunkers, which have sand in them, btw! i prefer a 4-4:15 round, but if they could keep it closer to 4.5 hrs, this course would blow the head covers off many others. so many of these courses need to offend a few people in order to keep the pace of play to reasonable. golf shouldn't have to be an all day affair. plus they could get more rounds in the long run.

love the course, the facility, and the people are great! the course is in pretty good condition except the greens, which we knew, were a little choppy due to a wash out during re-seeding. they are however, working hard to remedy this. ok, all that being said, paying $170 per player is a little bit steep given that upon arriving, we find out it is cart path only. i'll be the first to admit, i need the exercise, but i have workout equipment at home. it just takes away from the experience having to grab 3-4 clubs, only to find out you don't have the one you need when you get to your ball. one might as well walk the course, but not sure if that is even allowed.

the morning started out COLD...warmed to reasonable golfing temperatures. loved the layout, challenging, undulating greens with character, a little bit of water keeping you honest. course was in great shape, fairways smooth, greens ran fast and true. we would love to play this course again if kept at the right price point-i'd say, for me, $75-100 is well worth it if it plays as it did today. the key is all of the above plus rangers keeping play moving to a 4/4:15 pace i'd play it any day

i understand sterling grove can range from pricey to not so pricey, but if you want championship golf, sterling is the place to go. from clubhouse to practice area to tee boxes-country club caliber. we golfed on a cool, probably frigid by az. standards with some intermittant rain, so that probably played a role in our pace of play which was great! the rain however did NOT seem to alter the conditions. greens ran nice, fast and true. fairways were better than many greens. sterling is a gem and even a diamond if they can keep their prices reasonable, but i get how all that works. i just hope it remains accessible to us for a while

although i have golfed the red and the blue courses, this was our first time on the gold course. we were paired up with a really nice couple in town for the super bowl. the tee boxes, fairways and greens were in decent to excellent shape. the greens ran moderate-fast, but true. the sand traps were adequately filled with well groomed sand. although not your traditional Az golf(desert/mountain) it is the next best thing. wigwam, with it's 3 challenging courses in their own way, is well run. the facilities are unique, set within this small community(litchfield park) within goodyear. it is easy to get into and out with ample parking, bag drop and the ability to take your cart to the lot when done is very convenient. the restaurant(reds) is well run and the food is good. overall, we try to get to wigwam more than a few times per year on either course and are rarely disappointed.

the only reason i gave this a 4 star was because the staff needs a happy class. great course! we had a 4-some with a guest who doesn't golf but was down here for first time and wanted to enjoy the views. we were fully prepared to pay a "cart fee" and asked before starting, but no mention was made. as we were preparing to hit our approach shot on hole #1, a cart comes racing out to interrupt us for fear we were seemingly trying to get away without paying a cart fee?? we spent over $550 in greens fees, $100 on the course for beverages & tips plus another $360 at the restaurant and they were worried about $20? sorry, but you had everything right, except the "people part" we may return... if quintero or estrella are booked

front 9 greens a little fuzzy, but back 9 greens almost perfect. course in great shape for this time of the year. Az. is my home away from home, just finding this course a couple weeks ago, i can't wait to return

just heard about this course via word of mouth. we are thrilled to have found it. if they can keep the rounds at a reasonable price, as we believe it was, we will put this one into one of our regular "go to" courses. very fair yet challenging.

this course is on it's way to joining some of the big dogs. they can leave the clubhouse alone, keep the gravel parking lot, maybe upgrade the carts in the near future, but keep doing what you are doing with the course. that is what we ultimately come out here for. i hope to come back, i just hope you have my early morning tee times

one of the few courses that didn't require cart path only. greens were a little fuzzy but in all fairness, they were still being gentle to the over seeding process. beautiful day. i'm sure i would have rated it 5 stars if we played the back 9 as the water seemed to break it up a little more

i love hitting off level tee boxes and fairways(when i hit 'em) that reward good shots. i'd like to say that fairways of woodside is a hidden gem and a bargain for the conditions, but i am a selfish guy and would like to get out there and have the course to myself when i want. i will be back!

my golfing bride and i couldn't have been paired up with 2 nicer guys who golfed the right way-serious but not so serious if ya know what i mean. awesome time! pace of play-could not have been any better at 4 hours(seemed like 3) tee boxes in great shape. fairways to first cut was about the same except for the color-fine by me. as a first time golfer at this course, it was pretty indicative of how to play most of the holes. of course one always would like to have a "do-over" but not much here. greens were in spectacular shape, nice true rolls, about 10-12? on the stimp? but all consistent. nice layout and mix of holes to challenge all your clubs. as always, the scenery is 2nd to none. it's difficult to write too nice of a review as we want to get back on this course for another 4 hour round-thanks guys! we will be back

another beautiful day, my wife and i could not have been paired up with any nicer gentlemen. pace of play was fantastic. 4 hours seemed like 3. fairways were in great shape. 1st cut rough wasn't rough, just a different color(no complaints here), greens were as true and fair as you could get. course layout was good-tested all aspects of ones game. great location/short drive if you want to enjoy downtown palm springs as we did. we try to visit palm springs from lake havasu city once or twice a year and this course is on our short list-palm springs beautiful

what a pleasant surprise. we fly in/out of vegas often to play/gamble and/or to get to my other home in lake havasu city. looking for a nice, moderately priced, conveniently located from the strip course to take the edge off the gambling atmosphere. found it! but don't tell anyone. if you were looking for a top rated course in vegas on the web, you surprisingly won't find tuscany on their lists. this place should be in the top 5! but what do a couple of hackers from wisconsin know? very reasonably priced/well worth the experience. very well manicured, very fair, but challenging golf course. the pace was just over 4 hours(perfect or better than our expectations). we weren't pushed, nor waited at any of the tees despite the appearance of how busy they were. very relaxing(for golf), paired up with a couple of very enjoyable guys. everyone at the course, including all the golfers were very courteous and respectful. overall, we couldn't have asked for anything better for the price, location, weather, golf experience, course conditions, layout and setting. we are definitely coming back, so please don't tell anyone about this course. i don't want to see anything changed, except, my score...could go down by a few strokes...of course
