Perfect weather and perfect course condition combined to make my less than perfect game perfectly enjoyable. We played Charleston and Augusta and both were challenging. The greens were fast and true and even though we followed the Men's club championship, they were in great shape.

If ever a course was made for me, this is it. I am a 66 year old who has gotten a bit shorter off the tees, but still plays a reasonable game. From the white tees, I can still reach most all of the greens in regulation. The greens hold well and are medium fast to fast.

Is have played here several times and have been hooked by the charms of this course.

The only negative is the condition of the bunkers. A little Round-up and some raking would do wonders.

If you are a golf snob, please play somewhere else. The fairways are average. The greens are better than average. The design is wonderful.

This parks style course can test every club in your bag and still get you home in time for a nap. In spite of its inconvenient location, it deserves more play and greater appreciation by real golfers.

One gripe, please groom your sand traps.

The bones are all there, but the rest is ragged. But, the price is right and the make the best of what they have. I would rather play this old charmer 3 times than some swankienda subdivision course once.
