Solo, I got there to find young Mike at the ready & informed Me that another player also had same tee time on the sheet. He mentioned I could hit a few range balls to warm up, sounds silly as it was 111°. Started out fine and seemed grooved early, not My norm. Players heading out on 10 mentioned the greens could be shorter since the we're punched a couple of weeks earlier. I enjoyed them as they rolled fine out fine, if only at a moderate speed.
Fairways were even and are surely undulating with the Papago Buttes RIGHT THERE ! Greens are firm & fortunately not dried out HARD as many tracks in Phoenix get. Michael at the turn is very cordial & was glad to get some ice for Me as there was NO beverage cart. A true Local Gem for a Homer like Me that I always enjoy !
The now years old renovation to the course certainly gives the holes a much fuller/complete look through the greens ,wonderfully done Folks. THANKS !

An afternoon round started by having Mike meet Me at bag drop and explained that another person also was booked for the tee-time. I was able to warm up, sounds silly when it's 111°, although I was tardy. The course is in outstanding condition ,even the bunkers played well as I could get a good "thump" gettin' out. Then Michael was cordial & helpful with some ice at the turn as there wasn't a beverage cart on duty. I really enjoy the now years old renovations that give a more complete look of the holes through the greens ! Good Time Folks !

Although the greens had been punched , I still enjoyed the course. Marcus inside was very pleasant & Blake outside was energetic and helpful for sure. Off the tee is difficult when windy , straight is good. Fairways in fine shape & bunkers as well. Will DEFINATELY be back Folks, THANKS.

Well I arrived sorta' tardy but Steve was a very pleasant breath of fresh air. He was already busy W/some Lady members leaving & still shot right over to Me to help.The Pro shop mentioned I could still warm up then head out which was a relief due to the the tough layout. Condition of the course was a surprise in that even the bunkers played well, I should know! Greens were firm, not dried out hard & the fairways very even . A great HOT day of golf !

Love the layout as it absolutely requires shots off the tee to end up on somethin' green ! However this round one couldn't miss the bunkering on several holes looked dreadful, really poor. Otherwise condition of the course was fine. It's Phoenix, so the sand out here will usually be "iffy" on plenty of tracks. Strategy & knowing where Ur shots will go, even just "generally", will go long on enjoying this tough layout. Take the challenge, is "So" worth it, & quite scenic to boot !

Hadn't been here since the makeover & WOW ! Other reviews mentioned the bunkering was poor & are very accurate with them being "glorified" hardpan ! However the course is an outstanding layout with a high premium on well placed tee shots. Fairways are ample but One must be aware of the sorta' "false fronts" on corners of some fairways. Green complexes are quick N' firm adding to the challenge ! Tim is Awsome being generous with his time & has a wonderful demeanor."SO" will be back with My Buds !

Got a very good deal at the last minute Monday just down the road at Encanto. G at the desk is always cordial & Max is quite an energetic SVC. guy outside there. Good greens that seem to roll out a couple of feet extra on the slopier complexes . Over seeded fairways are really nice/ mature with grass that the ball sits up well on. Good Time Folks , THANKS !

It was gray & breezy/windy actually. Course had maybe a half dozen groups on Her. U should be the "hearty type" for these conditions anyway. Mike at the pro-shop desk let Me, as a single, start on the back after He check that the group on 9 was only approaching that green. Course was in surprisingly good shape after the downpour from the night before. No sloppy areas in the fairways and the greens rolled well ! Although seemingly slow out there , Trevor was in position & attentive when I finished , they always seem sincere that We enjoyed Ourselves. I dig StoneCreek !

Was looking forward to the round at Ocitillo since I'd heard so much about it, "all the WATER" ! Well I played the Gold then White with a couple of guys who were buddy's & had been there before. Conditions were surprisingly less than I'd heard. Bumpy/"iffy"greens the main culprit ,so much for a "Troon experience". And also surprisingly little water on the White layout , not all intimidating. Still, the staff there were very sharp & sincerely helpful ! Excellent "chamber of commerce" weather !

Had played just B/4 it closed , scalped fairways gave 30yds.+ of rollout ! Things sure did plush up & even W/cart path only , was in fine shape . And W/all the watering , the course wasn't sloppy . The greens can use just a couple more cuts down a bit , then WOW . An OutStanding course for sure , pace could Be addressed to get things sped up . Did wait on EVERY shot .

Golf Now has a fantastic system to enjoy high end courses st BARGIN rates ! The Padre course at CamelBack brought Me back twice in week . The layout is all right there in front of U & is still a test to play well. The staff there seem genuinely glad to see U & if I've enjoyed the day with them. Always cordial , even if it's a slow day for them in Summer. The Chuster , Ranger Tom & especially Ms. Vanessa are Quality staff . Big THANKS !

Had my worst round of scoring in Years ! Uuuuggh , all on Me.That said ,the Phoenician does a fantastic job for its players experience ! The best condition of the bunkers/sand in town , I should know. Fairways are fine & the greens in excellent shape ! They are sneaky quick and rolled true. Saw plenty of groundskeeping staff there who know how to do their job W/golfers around ! Very well done Phenician !
