Old parkland-style tree-lined course, a rarity in the Scottsdale area. Greens are very small and have a lot of undulation, and many tee shots require a well-shaped tee shot, not just a straight one. The first hole is terrible, requires a 30-50 yard fade just to hit the fairway. Remove a few trees and it would be playable.

Conditions were good, not great. Greens are pretty good speed, just a ton of ball marks on them. Tee boxes were pretty beat up, everything else was good.

I booked a last minute tee time (an hour before my tee time) for 3:27 for a single, as i saw the tee sheet was COMPLETELY wide open after 2:30. Seeing this, I figured I would be able to cruise around in 3 hours. Unfortunately, when I arrived, I was told my tee time would be at 3:45 because the course was completely full. How is this even possible? This course is clearly playing games with their online reservation system to squeeze as many people out on the course as possible. The front 9 took over 2.5 hours and i was only able to play 13 holes before it got dark. Very disappointed. The course itself was in good, not great, condition. Firm and fast.

Good value for a hot summer day and the tees/fairways were in good shape, but the greens were quite poor.
