Nice practice area and putting green. the course from the tee box to the green was not good at all. Looks like no water, except for greens, for weeks or longer. fairways were in terrible shape and many times I was hitting off hard pan or sand in the middle of the so called fairways. Bunkers greenside were decent. I played this course before several times and it was beautiful and green with distinct fairways. Just dissapointed at the condition of the course today compared to what it used to be. Wont be back anytime soon.

Like this course. Tees, fairways and greens good shape. Only negative are the bunkers. Most need sand.

Played Legacy many times and love the course. The bunkers besides being too deep for amateurs, have NO SAND. Played 8 Aug and fortunately I was only in 2 bunkers, but hitting off the cart path would have been better. Hard as concrete and no way to hit a bunker shot. Fix the bunkers and Legacy would be as good as any course in the valley.

Bunkers remain an ongoing issue for me. Tons of pebbles and rocks, little real sand except for 17 (redone this year and great job), Water standing or wet mud often found in bottom of bunkers. Each bunker is like a box of chocolates, never know what you are going to get.

I was in a 4 some, with one player a local and other 2 were here on a golf vacation from San Francisco. One of the gentlemen had a double lung transplant about 2-3 months ago. We played as fast as we could and yet the marshal circled us continuously from hole 6-18. At one time told us to pick up pace or he would move us.... We were about 3/4 to a hole slow.... but never really pushed by group behind us. His constant watching to see If we were playing faster was an itch you cannot scratch and was annoying to say the least. May be a while before I return, although I love playing both courses.

Love playing the Legacy again now that rates are back down to affordable. Fairways, tee boxes and greens are in great shape as usual. Bunkers are short some sand in the bottom. Several players in our group commented that there was only hard pan at the bottom of the bunkers. Other than that, excellent day. Just stay off the beach.

Course is definitely a target golf course...have to hit the right line to have a chance at scoring. Course is good shape...great price

Course was in good shape, little dry around the edges. Pin locations were less than optimum. More set for a tournament for low handicap golfers than for daily hacker play.. There was not a beverage cart that day and it was warm out...100 degrees. But the hot deal price made all worth it. Will play here again.

Course had been over seeded for winter and was cart path only. Understand the restriction, but Blackstone is a very hilly course and it slowed play significantly. My group was a 2 some.....and we followed all day a 5 some and a 6 some in front of us. We waited of course on every tee box and every fairway shot....made for a long day. Course was in good shape....saw a beverage cart on # 18 after 4+ hours on the course....

Course in great shape especially for summer. Greens were outstanding and the ball rolled smoothly. Love playing this track

Course is in great shape, especially given Phoenix hot summer months. Greens were fast and rolled great. Only down side was that a beer on the course was $7.50 per can. Bit stiff for a beer.

For being so hot in Arizona in the summer, Papago was well maintained. Greens a little bumpy as it appears they were aerated a few weeks ago. Greens were fast. Fairways were in great shape and the practice facilities were very good as well.

Always enjoy playing Whirlwind. Some browned fairways...but in great shape during a hot summer.

Great course. ..great layout...bunkers are in awesome condition....but the greens are the best I have played in Arizona in 15 years....

First time at Talking Stick North....great practice area to warm up or work on game....course was in great shape and the greens ran true and good speed. Well worth the money spent. Will definitely play again.

Aquila, for the play it receives as a muni, stays in great shape....especially the greens. Rolling fast and smooth. Play there a lot and it is always worth the money.

Played course(s) twice during my stay. First time cart girl never drove close enough to get her to stop and second time I played (this review) the weather was sunny and 79 degrees. Course was busy with golfers and no beverage cart to be found...other than this...course was not pretty much brown except tee boxes and greens. Some storm damage still evident from spring time storms....but for the price...a good day

Maryvale for a muni was in good shape. Greens were a little slower than practice green....but other than that....hard to beat it for $21.

Greens were slow and pitch marks everywhere. Back 9 was cart path only making for a 5 hour 15 min round...Bunkers were hard packed....expected a much better course condition than we played.

Course in very good shape.....cost was very good...staff and service were very good.
