Edmonton Garrison Memorial Golf & Curling Club
Played On 09/22/2023Excellent Experience
This course was much different from your typical course. Being based on a Canadian Forces Base, there is so much to see. I appreciated the military based decor spread throughout the course, and the low flying helicopters in training were also fun.
The course was not too difficult, however the wind made my round challenging.
I hope to return for another round.

I had a great time at this course. It is in a great setting and is not extremely challenging. The staff were very friendly also. I paid $10 for rental clubs. This is an excellent price, but the clubs were a mixture. That said, I would do it again in a heartbeat. Lots of fun!

Played On 07/02/2014A Hidden Gem!
I have lived in the area for nearly eight years but just golfed this course for the first time. It really is a hidden gem. While it is close to the town, it is in the middle of nowhere... but let me reassure you, it is worth the drive.
The staff were very welcoming and the members that we got paired up with were great. We were treated as if we were members, although it was our first time on the course. It was helpful to have some "old-timers" to help us navigate around some of the more confusing transitions between golf holes.
If I had to think of a down-side, I would say that the fairways are rather bumpy... this results in spilled drinks and possible spilled passengers. :) Additionally, the score cards need to be updated because of some course changes.
This was a good course. I hope to return soon.
I highly recommend this course to you... trust me, it is worth the drive!
Dragonfly Golf Links
Played On 06/21/2014Fantastic, Friendly Staff, at a moderately difficult course
This course is a lot of fun as long as you stay out of the rough. I found the rough to be very challenging and I lost many balls in it because the grass is thick and deep.
The staff were incredible. They treated us as if we were members, even though we were simply GolfNow customers.
We took advantage of the "all you can golf" and managed 34 holes before dark. This was a great deal!
Would I golf here again? That depends on whether I can stand to lose a dozen golf balls again.
Over all, a great experience... but if you plan to golf here either bring lots of balls, or plan to be looking for your ball many times!
Hello RevJay,
Thank You for the amazing comments. Love it!
To us you are NOT GolfNow customer, you are our members! Everyone who walks through our doors are treated like family.
As for the rough's, yes I agree. Our rough mower broke a week and half ago, we were out for 4 days until our rental came in, then we had to play catch up on the rough. Sorry about this. We are now just almost caught up with only a few more holes to go.
Thank You so much for the feedback it goes a long way for us to improve our service to all our golfers who come out for the day.
Thanks
Team Dragonfly.

Played On 05/30/2014Good Overall Experience
So, most of the greens are in average to good shape, however some of them need some serious tlc. The course was not busy, which made our round quick.

Played On 10/12/2013Nice Course in the Valley
This is a nice course. It is well maintained and always looks good. The staff are friendly and the greens always seem to be in good shape. You can walk this course as there aren't many hills to climb and the holes are close.

This golf course is a must. It is in great shape and it is a great deal of fun. It is one of the best, if not the best, in the Ottawa Valley. The staff are very good to you and the course is lots of fun.
The Lamberts Point Golf Course
Played On 9/16/20139 Challenging Holes
I was surprised to find out that this course was only nine holes. I didn't know until I got there. What makes this course challenging is that most shots are blind; you can't see the green from your drive. Additionally, the wind off of the bay makes a straight drive difficult. Bring lots of balls because you are bound to lose at least two. In fact, if you can make it through the round without losing a ball, you are not going to enjoy the challenge.
I enjoyed this round. I was thankful to join a threesome who knew the course otherwise I may have actually got lost on this short 9-hole.
Wolf Run Golf Club
Played On 8/27/2013Beautiful Course with many narrow fairways
Thanks to GOLFNOW, I found this gem of a course. The staff were great and the course was fantastic. I found this a challenge for two reasons... the narrow fairways and the fast greens.
If I ever get a change to go back I certainly will. I think this course should be on every golfers list of courses to play in the Peterborough area.
What a great day. Thanks to the staff at the Pro Shop, they allowed to me tee off one hour early!
Whitetail Golf Club
Played On 7/22/2013One of the best in the Valley
This is a great course for a nice challenge. It is not too difficult but has some challenging narrow fairways. The scenery is great and the course is well laid out. I recommend taking a cart because the walk can be long and there are some challenging hills to climb. There are also a couple shorter holes that play long because of obstacles around.
This is one of my favorite courses in the valley.
Pembroke Golf Club
Played On 6/13/2013Great Walking Course
This is one of a few courses that you can walk with ease. There are no hills to climb and it is laid out well. The only downside is that once you leave the clubhouse, you won't get to it again until after the 18th hole. I prefer to get to it after 9 holes, but it is nowhere near the 9th /10th hole. The course is enjoyable with a few narrow holes that make it challenging. Overall, a good course.
RevJay, thank you for your kind words! We hope to see you again at the course very soon for another 5-star experience. Thanks for choosing Edmonton Garrison Memorial Golf & Curling Club.
