Eagle Landing Golf Club
Played On 03/03/2014Great course
One of Jacksonville's best courses in this price range, always in good shape and tee choices to suit all levels. The course can get very busy at certain times and pace of play can be a little slow, generally the grounds staff keep this well managed.but 4 1/2 hour rounds will happen occasionally.
The Senator Course at Shula's Golf Club
Played On 02/22/2014Great greens!
Very nice course overall and the greens were superb 10-12 on stimp and in great condition. Fairways and tee boxes could use a little more attention, but nothing too bad. Driving range is terrible!

Jacksonville beach city should be ashamed of themselves.
Terrible condition from start to finish, such a shame.

Course in great shape, greens fast, tough layout but rewards good shots. Had a fun day.
Palatka Golf Club
Played On 7/16/2013An insult to Donald Ross.
All 18 greens are lost, fairways and tee boxes covered in crab grass and weeds. It's a sad homage to a great designer. No fun at all, just a walk in a pasture.
Jacksonville Beach Golf Club
Played On 06/21/2013Dissapointing
I have played this course on and off for 13 years and seen many attempts to improve it, unfortunately the controlling authority has failed to maintain the course to its full potential and their latest efforts have not been successful. Tee boxes and fairways are in decent shape but the greens are struggling and will need a lot of work to bring them back. Its a shame because this course if properly maintained could rival many of the best courses in Jacksonville. Not good value at current pricing levels.
Golf Club At Fleming Island

Beautiful facility for the serious golfer, not a track for hackers unless you don't mind losing a lot of balls. Course is in excellent shape from tee box to greens which run true and fast. This Bobby Weed masterpiece will reward your good shots but really punish the bad, its all about precision here. One big criticism is that the bunkers (and there are a lot of them) which are a main feature of the course design, have little or no sand in them, making bunker play a real guessing game, so as long as you stay in the green stuff no problem. Overall a great course and serious golfers will love it.
St. Johns Golf Club
Played On 4/16/2013Course condition coming around.
Had a good day and enjoyed the course. Greens were just punched and rolled but ran fairly good considering. Give the greens a couple of weeks and they will be very nice. A good forgiving layout with some very pretty holes, lots of big breaking putts if you are not under the hole as many of the greens slope back to front. The letdown with this course is in the lack of attention to detail around all of the fringes, which are a mix of grab grass and weeds, this makes for some very interesting lye's indeed.
Bent Creek Golf Course
Played On 4/9/2013Not a bombers course, leave the driver in the bag!
Best public course in Jacksonville, great facility at reasonable prices. The course is in exceptionally good condition although at present the greens, which are beautifully conditioned, are so slow as to be unfair and not fun to putt, they definitely need to get them rolling. The course itself is a tight course that requires good course management and accuracy off the tee so leave the driver in the bag for most of the day and your round will be more enjoyable. This is a public course so be prepared for a long round, the pace of play is slow and at one point toward the end of our round we had three groups on the last par three..
The Oak Bridge Club
Played On 3/29/2013Always the bridesmaid never the bride.
The Sawgrass course that never quite lives up to its PGA neighbors. Do not overlook this course, it has a lot to offer with a good Arnold Palmer design and fair conditioning. Bunkers are in desperate need of sand but tee to green conditioning is fair. Good facilities but clubhouse is a bit dated. $30-40 represents good value however so well worth a visit.

A 'touch of class' about this track and you had better bring your 'A' game to shoot a good score. The course is in excellent condition and has some very nice T-boxes that give players a PGA feel and look that is very satisfying especially from the 'tips', the shorter tees give the high handicappers.a good chance to shoot a memorable round if they can keep it in play. A tough course for beginners but if you enjoy a challenge, put this one at the top of your list when choosing where to play.

Superb condition, great layout, friendly staff and greens at around 10 on the stimpmeter. This is a want to play course and should be near the top of your list.
Magnolia Point Golf & Country Club
Played On 3/14/2013Just needs a little time!
Great layout and design with lots of elevation for a Florida course. T boxes and fairways over seeded but greens were not and the cold weather has taken its toll. Even though the greens are not great at this time they run ok and just pass muster. Give this course another 4-6 weeks with some good green growing weather and it will be back to the little gem it deserves to be.
Country Club of Orange Park
Played On 3/3/2013Consistency in presentation represents great value.
Very nice course to suit all abilities, very well maintained, excellent practice facilities and clubhouse prices that will not break the bank. A couple of greens not quite up to par but improving with weather. I would recommend this course and put it on my fav list for year round consistency and better than average practice facilities.
