Rancho Manana Golf Club
Played On 06/15/2021Stay away for now!
Usually one of my favorites, the course is undergoing significant maintenance. Front side greens just aerated and many tee boxes are being redone. It’s not worth playing for the next couple of months, but it’ll be back in my rotation when they complete their work.
Wigwam Resort - Gold Course
Played On 04/29/2021Mediocre
Conditions are already turning from lack of attention. Burnt our fairways, etc. The course is mediocre at best. There’s lots of choices in the Valley. No need to have this one on your must play list.
Golf Club of Estrella
Played On 04/21/2021Added to My List
This course offers a near perfect balance of playability and challenge. The conditions were still tremendous. I played in high winds and found the generous fairways welcoming. It’s a course you should be able to score well on and not go through a couple sleeves of balls. .
Copper Canyon Golf Club - Vista/Lake Course
Played On 03/25/2021First Impression
This was my first time playing the course and I went primarily because of the GolfNow rate. When resort courses are still charging $250.00 a round, grabbing a $50.00 greens fee motivated me to dust off the clubs and make the drive out. The course proved a perfect venue to work on my game. Generous fairways, great conditions and some challenging greens. The staff was very welcoming. I'll definitely keep it in my prime season rotation.
Faldo at Wildfire Golf Club at Desert Ridge Resort
Played On 08/07/2020Tremendous Condition
Great facility and the course is in great shape. Only complaint; for some reason they're removed the coolers so I'd suggest bringing you own with lots of ice.
TPC Scottsdale - The Champions Course
Played On 07/30/2020I'll be back
I've lived in Phoenix for over a decade and this was my first chance to play the Champions course. it was 115 degrees today so the course was wide open. Loved the layout and the staff were as expected; professionals!
Lookout Mountain Golf Club

Played On 07/11/2020Please Save Yourself from a Horrible Round
The course was horrific. Virtually no grass in the fairways except for gnarly clumps of crab grass. All of the water is gone from the ponds. If you're looking to quit golf, go waste some money here then tell yourself that all golf courses are the same, thrown the clubs in the bottom of a dried out pond bed and walk away.
Great Eagle Golf Club
Played On 07/11/2020Close it Down
I’ll be kind. It’s horrific! They appear to be converting the course into a hard-packed dirt challenge. There are maybe 1000 blades of grass per hole that appear to be Bermuda. There is abundant crab grass, usually well positioned around the fringe of the green between your ball and the cup.
They really do need to shut it down!
Verrado Golf Club - Victory Course

Played On 06/07/2018Tried it Once Mote
Played here about four years ago and I said I’d never waste my money again. Conditions far inferior to other courses in the area. I don’t like the layout. Pay a few bucks more and play We-Ko-Pa, Wildfire or Kierland.
Golf Club of Estrella
Played On 06/05/2018First Time Not Last Time
The course was very nice and very playable. I’m playing at a 14 handicap right now, so I selected the Silver tees (6300 yards). Two sets of tees behind stretch it to 7000 for those so gifted. The greens were like carpets the fairways in great condition.
Rancho Manana Golf Club
Played On 06/03/2018On the Rotation
Always a contender for one of the best managed and maintained this course remains on my rotation. The par 70, just over 6000 yards from the back won’t be the longest you’ll play but it’s one you should play.
Rancho Manana Golf Club

Course was in great condition. Played in just over three hours!
Las Sendas Golf Club
Played On 01/29/2018Play it at least once!
I've been in the valley for about a decade and I finally made it out to Las Sendas. I heard it was a difficult course and it lived up to it's reputation. The wind didn't help but still, I had a great day. I played with three members and they were very accommodating. The course was in tremendous shape. I live in Anthem so I won't be able to make it a regular venue but I'm glad I finally got out to it. You should too!
Faldo at Wildfire Golf Club at Desert Ridge Resort
Played On 08/31/2017Gotta Love Summer Golf in Phoenix
You can't beat the deals on summer golf in Phoenix. When you get a day in the low 100's you better run to the course. The resort courses are typically some of the best maintained and The Faldo Course at the JW Marriott at Desert Ridge fit the bill perfectly.
Verrado Golf Club - Victory Course
Played On 03/21/2017Nice Change of Pace
The archetects use of the abundant white rock makes for a visually stimulating round and the layout is interesting as well. The fairways were in excellent condition. The greens were equally lush but slower than most in the Valley due to its newness. Still they rolled pretty true.
No clubhouse yet so they still need time to develop the ammenities.
Mesquite/Ironwood at Kierland Golf Club
Played On 10/03/2015Premium
Compared to other facilities in the area you'll pay a premium to play this course, but I find that the conditions are premium as well so it warrants it.
Trilogy Golf Club at Vistancia
Played On 03/24/2015Unprofessional.
Management needs a lesson or two in customer relations and professional conduct. Stand within earshot of their radios and you just may hear them lambasting their guests.
With a couple hundred courses in the area you could probably find a more pleasant facility.
McDowell Mountain Golf Club
Played On 06/06/2014Aerated but excellent.
I went for a summer afternoon tee time just five days after they aerated their greens. The greens rolled great for having just gone thru the process so when their fully in it'll be amazing.
The course was in fantastic shape. Very playable with a few holes that you've really gotta grind through.
