Good Value

I have been wanting to check out here for a while. Finally decided to do so to kick off getting back in summer playing shape. It had rained a few days leading up to playing so there were expected puddles and mud but really decent condition considering what the weather had been like. Didn't have problems with leaves and debris on them greens either. The greens were fast which was shock due to the recent rain. It is an executive course so very long par 3's (220 on some) and short par 4's. It is a par 62 so its fun to get in some quality swings. I don't know if I will make the trek back out here but I think it is worth going at least once.

Fun course.

While the course is somewhat in the middle of nowhere, the drive is worth it. When pulling up, does not look like much and pretty outdated. Hit some balls at the range that was rather short and if you a driver with any decent distance, you'd be getting to a believe the 2nd fairway. Now once I started to play, I enjoyed the course. Have to remember it is the central valley and this is a public course so the fairways are a little dried up but still very enjoyable. Greens were in fairly good conditions, I enjoyed the course overall. Will be coming back.

You get what you pay for

I was able to play RiverLakes for $18.75 so it was worth it. With that being said, I do no think I will be coming back any time soon. The reviews are pretty accurate on Yelp for the course. The course is abused by novice golfers as evident by the greens. A lot of the holes do not have proper blue/black tee boxes marked which seems like a fairly simple thing to ask for. If you are using a cart there are multiple confusing parts of the path with little to no direction. The 18th is interesting. The green is surrounded by water with roughly 30 dead fish floating at the surface with the smell that matches such a sight.
