Not bad for what it is.

Course suffers badly from water logging at times and today was no different although a dry day. Tee boxes muddy mush and made driving difficult as you’d slide even with golf spikes on, this was the case for most tees. Having said the bad sides first the course does have some decent greens and smart views of the city on the higher parts of the course. Cost was £12 on the golf now app which is good value for round in your local area but I’d avoid if there’s been any rainfall in the previous days or day.

Great course, however down sides.

Played here 3 times now with a view to becoming members, however the downside to playing here is that there’s many arrogant members who seem to think it’s acceptable to play balls ridiculously close to you when you’ve not even made the greens!

Every time we’ve played here it’s been the same and it’s really frustrating as you’re left feeling pressured and not to mention in danger of gaining an injury. Our plan was to mention it to the club Pro but he wasn’t around today unfortunately. I understand people will read this and think maybe we were slow playing it, but that’s not the case and what’s worse is we’re not even bad players to warrant guys being so keen to play through us.

Can only play as fast as the group in front of you, just wish people would pay more attention to that as well as teeing off at correct times. Apart from that it’s a great course.

Lovely course, Friendly staff.

On arrival at the car park we were greeted by a friendly staff member who explained all we needed to know as first time visitors to the course. Also given the current covid situation we obviously couldn’t use the facilities prior or after our round, so it was straight to tee.

The course itself is neat and narrow so if you’re a high handicapper take a few extra balls with you as there’s plenty areas to lose some, even for strong golfers. Other things of note from our round today was that some of the greens hold a fair amount of standing water if there has been a lot of rain the previous evening or day, so we had issues with putting on a number of them. Other than this it was a thoroughly enjoyable day and we will certainly be back.
