Columbia Country Club - Tall Pines/Lakeside
Played On 04/06/2017Great course - shame about the 3 inches of rain the night before
Horrendous weather overnight with 3" of rain - we didn't really expect the course to be open; fortunately it was albeit very wet in places.
The initial welcome from the guy in the proshop was not the warmest I have ever received (later met a younger pro who was very pleasant) but all of the other staff were very good.
We really enjoyed the course which I suspect was playing about a hard as it could. Under normal conditions I suspect there would have been a lot more run which would have made it play shorter.
Having said that I would love to play it again but in dryer conditions.
I suspect that if you are in Columbia this is the course you should play.
Oyster Reef Golf Course
Played On 03/31/2017Good layout and excellent greens
Welcoming and friendly staff, decent clubhouse with good food.
The course itself is an interesting layout with many doglegs menaing that you have to think about the tee shot rather than just balsting away with the driver. Really smooth and quick greens.
I would recommend.
