Overall the pace was ok (4.5 hours) but it was 1 3/4 front and 2 3/4 on the back...I did see a ranger on the back but he came from behind us and then turned back so never got to the group that was holding up the field.

This is a very nice course in very good condition...isn't eresting and challenging BUT it was so slow! The course needs a ranger who will have people skip a hole if necessary to move the game along. We will watch other reviews before w e go back...if pace continues to lag we'll play elsewhere...

Yesterday was a five hour+ round. This has to do with only having 7 minutes between foursomes which fills the course but means you will wait for every shot...the clientele just doesn't move that fast!
The course is in fine shape and it is an interesting layout. The lack of houses and the quantity of wildlife are definite pluses but the pace made it not worth it.
Until I see that tee times are farther apart, we won't be back.

This course has been in good shape all season until now...lots of repairs going on to the point where it has detracted from play. Hopefully the repairs will be short lived.

Although this course has a very interesting layout, esp. for a short course, it is in pretty bad shape. We also happened to hit behind some of the slowest people of the year so far. The front nine took 2 1/2 hours for 1800 yards! We will be back to play Highlands, which we have played several times and enjoy, but, won't play Groves again.
