It was an extremely nice day weatherwise. We waited at each tee about 5 minutes for the group ahead as most were playing twosomes. Understandable, during these COVID times. However, when we got to the 11 tee, we waited for the group in front for close to 12 to 13 minutes. Apparently, they had let 2 twosomes through, and a single. At that point, we packed up and left, quite disappointed as we had called in and they advised there was a Marshall somewhere on the course.

We had a pleasant but cool day to start out but as the day went on the sun came out and it did warm up! We found that many of the greens were spotty, the sand traps lacked sand making them unplayable, the fairways and tee boxes were in fair condition. There were no Player assistants or starters to be found. The cart paths were falling completely apart and the signage on each hole was either scanty or missing altogether. It is almost as if this course is only open until a developer comes along. It is too bad as the course has been here for many, many years!

We were having a very enjoyable round, having brought along to make it a foursome our son and daughter in law, until rounding onto the 10th to be told we were running 20 minutes behind and to speed it up. We explained that we had let 2 groups of twosomes ahead. Much to our amazement, when we got to the 10th tee, we had to wait for two groups ahead, one halfway down the fairway and the other waiting to tee off. We were totally perplexed at why the warning was given. We were waiting as fast as we could!!!!!!

We only got to play 6 holes before the heavens opened. However, the course was in its spring mode with seeding and fertilizing being done. Most of the tee boxes were coated with fertilizer in prep for the upcoming season. Still enjoyed ourselves but disappointed that the weather did not cooperate. Will be back later!

My husband and I were both looking forward to our first round of golf having just arrived in Florida that week. We wanted to do the first round as a couple just to get back in the swing of things, but much to our amazement, it was a 1 p.m. shotgun start when we had booked our tee time for 12:34 p.m. We were paired up with a couple of gentlemen to make it a foursome. The course itself was in great condition and the foursome was totally compatible. We will certainly return for another round now with the knowledge that shotgun start is how the tee offs are arranged. Suggestion: the website should have stated shotgun starts!

Our round did not start off as expected. When we arrived 15 minutes ahead of our tee time, we were informed by the staff that no carts were available for about 1 hour or so and that we would have to wait around for a cart to arrive. I felt extremely sorry for the staff who kept apologizing for the lack of carts. However, the desk did not even take my book in and I had to get a turned in cart myself and come back and check in. As we proceeded on the course, the bunkers, both fairway and green side, were not tended, were starting to overgrow with weeds, did not have sand in them (were hard to the point that when I hit my ball into a green side, it bounced up in the air and landed on the green) and no rakes were provided to groom. We decided not to play the bunkers to avoid injuries. After the round, my golf partner and I decided to end the round with our usual jug of beer but were informed that this course did not have a liquor licence to serve. This course and the administration requires much more attention that what it is being given! Too bad, it use to be such a nice course!

We thoroughly enjoyed our round at the course. It was in the best condition I have seen in many years. Although the start of our round was a little disorganized with no starter working, we managed to organize ourselves and played the first 9 holes with a very compatible couple. At the end of the round, we went into the clubhouse for a cold jug of draft and much to our delight, the server brought us fresh frozen mugs halfway through the jug! What a great way to end a perfect day!

This is the best shape I have seen the course in as in years gone by. Some of the greens are still in rough shape but not for lack of trying by the staff! They are all very friendly and helpful.

Had a great round of golf however the course itself was in need of a lot of TLC. The fairways were in very rough condition. The greens were not too bad whatsoever. At the end of the round was looking forward to a nice cold one but unfortunately the clubhouse closes quite early, 5:30 p.m., and had to go elsewhere even to have a pit stop! No facilities open to use. I was disappointed however that the smokers on this course did not take the time to pick up their butts and had left them disrespectfully strewn everywhere.

The course was generally in great condition except for one green on a par 3. It was covered in blobs of sand and made it nearly impossible to putt. The pace of play that day was extremely slow, with us having to wait in line ups on each hole. We played the Red to White Courses. We did not see a Players Assistance once throughout the day while we played. I would, however, recommend this course as great value for the money!

The greens on this course were excellent with the fairways sporting challenging undulations. Be prepared for plenty of bunkers, waste as well as green side! The course offers a number of picturesque holes and scenic overlooks. The amenities could be considered on the light side, offering no plumbed outdoor facilities and a minimal clubhouse. All in all, I would recommend giving this course a try!

Most of the greens here were in need of a lot of attention sporting bare sandy areas that one had to putt through. However, the fairways were in better condition than I have ever seen them. All in all, not a bad course for what we paid, a buck a hole!

This course can be considered long for the average player but also had bail out areas when needed. Had great putting and chipping facilities. Staff were super friendly and we were lucky enough to be matched up with two personality enriched gentlemen. The greens were very well manicured and could be considered quite tricky, full of undulations. Our only disappointment, after golfing in quite hot, humid conditions, was that the bar closed at 5 p.m. on Tuesdays. No fault of the course as it is separately owned but a disappointment nevertheless when looking forward to a 'cold' one after a great day!

We arrived ahead of what we thought was our 12:34 p.m. tee off time only to be informed (quite nicely I might add) that it was a shotgun start at 1:00 p.m. We had an hour and a half wait. Beware that this is how this course sets up their tee off times!

Prior to proceeding out on the course for the shotgun start, we were informed via PA that 5 of the holes were cart path only as they were still very wet from being submerged. Once out on the fairways, it was very difficult to distinguish where exactly they were as they were coated in what appeared to be moss strewn about. Many of the fairways were hard to distinguish as they bore more of a sand trap look.

Please note that we had read a posted memo to residents that clean up volunteers were needed to assist with course cleanup. I do not know if a lot of this was Hurricane Irma remains or not....

However, we stayed on afterward to enjoy a very cold pitcher of beer which tasted phenomenal! The bar service was fantastic! Great staff!

My partner and I teamed up with another pair at the starters and had a fantastic day with them. They were full of endless jokes and quips! The course itself was in good condition for the time of year. The greens were adequate and the fairways were greening up. Have played this course year after year while staying in Leesburg! Would recommend it to everyone..........

We were once again paired up with a lovely couple from Wisconsin and we had a tremendous day with them. The course itself was in not too bad of a shape with it being spring and realizing that it had suffered through a terrible hurricane in September. The fairways were green and the greens were in fairly good shape.

The staff at this course were extremely friendly, informative and intuitive to our needs. While warming up on the putting green, we were approached by a starter (who I might say was off duty) and asked if we wanted to go early. We were ecstatic. This course is in adequate condition for spring play. It was a lovely day!

The greens were in very poor shape and the fairways were still in a dormant condition. However, there was water in the ponds that was not there a few years back. In speaking with the pro shop staff, they advised that the course had been closed for up to two months to the public and 6 weeks to the members after the hurricane. The 10th hole was completely covered in water and the bridge was submerged. They are working very hard to get the course back in shape. Had a glorious first game, just returning to Florida in January.

This course will appeal to most levels of golfers as it was a fair set up. However the course was generally lacking in memorable character.
