Good day!

First time playing at Glen Abby. Course was in really good shape. Greens were fast and very consistent. Round was under four hours. The back nine are really nice and fun. Everyone should play it once.

First Round Of The Year

It was early season golf. Course not ready yet. Was really windy. I'm sure the course will be ready soon.
This golf course is fun and when up and running it's good to play and a really good view.

Good but not Great.

This would be a great golf course if it weren't for two things. Before I begin this is a good golf course in good shape and the greens are fast for a public course and very challenging. Lets begin. There is no sand in the bunkers, and there are no hole maps on the score card or tee off areas. They only tell you the yardage. There is a bit of sand and lots of rocks. First bunker shot I took I went to hit behind the ball and plop it on the green. Little did I know is that there is no sand and it is as hard as a rock under the thin layer of sand/rocks. My club bounded off the dirt and rocks and topped the ball and it went flying across the green into another bunker. Same thing in that bunker. Next time I went in a bunker it felt like my feet went deeper in the sand. Oh No. Same thing. Third time I hit it like I was playing off a cart path and picked the ball off without hitting the ground. Now my brand new wedge looks like I have taken a grinder too the bottom. Second thing is that there are no hole maps on the score card and tee off boxes. Since this course has a lot of shape to it, I was hitting beyond hills and did not know what was on the other side. I lost a few golf balls because the hole would go to the left or right and or there would be water. So a lot of the holes you will be hitting blind. If you have never played there don't hit beyond what you can see. One other thing is that you will need a golf cart because the tee boxes are far from each other. This is the fist course I have played where there is no sand in the bunkers and no hole maps anywhere. Two minor things that made me not enjoy my round to the fullest.
