Good experience

One of the most underrated courses in the West Valley, the Red Course at Wigwam was in surprisingly good condition for this time of year--better than the majority of courses we have played in the last couple of months. The greens were smooth and the fairways were in decent shape.. While not as difficult as the Gold Course, the Red Course is still challenging, while being fun to play.

Excellent golf course

Recently returned to the area and wanted to play this course, which was built after I left. I am a low-handicap player and enjoy and challenge and I wasn't disappointed. Great layout and diabolical greens--even though they were clearly rolling a lot less than their potential you could see that some pin placements could be extremely difficult (including several that day). The Sunday morning pace of play wasn't great (4 1/2 hours) but it was something they were focused on and it appears faster play is a priority. Overall a good experience and I will definitely go back

pace of play was ridiculous

I've been looking for a course to play in the Tacoma area since I moved back in August. I'm a low-handicap player so I'd like to find a place where i can find a game on a challenging course. I remember McCormick Woods being a good track from previous experience--however the pace of play was horrific--five hours on a hot day. The marshall that drove around just shrugged it off as 'we have a lot of people out here today'. My search continues......
