Disgraceful Customer Service

I hope this place changes it's outlook on serving customers because it could be a great option. Unfortunately, it seems the staff is only interested in collecting their greens fee and kicking you out the door.

Background, I had a 6:45 tee time on a Friday morning. My playing partner and I moved through the first 9 in about an hour and 35 min. As we were on hole 11, we noticed about 20 carts go by. Once we hit the tee box on 12, it was apparent that the course had an event scheduled. Oddly enough, it appears that the course set up a shotgun start, beginning on hole 12 (no idea why...), which was certainly not mentioned to us upon paying. Standing on the tee box, we waited about 15 minutes before deciding neither of us would make it to work if we waited on the scramble event the entire rest of the way.

Given the amount of waiting time we had apparently signed up for, myself, the individual I was paired with, and the single behind us, all went to the clubhouse for a rain check. The gentleman working the clubhouse said their policy for leaving early was a $25 refund. No mention of the event, no acknowledgment that they shouldn't have offered tee times before the event. Just a completely unreasonable response to a problem they themselves created. Can I afford an over-priced 9-hole rate? Annoying, but yes of course. The principle this place apparently operates on is shameful. I hate to take an "eye for an eye" outlook, but these are the type of places that *should* see a loss of customers. So many courses out there do it the right way, not this one.

Don't do it

One of my favorite course layouts in the state, but not worth the $160 for a weekend round. Management clearly isn't investing in the course. Sand traps are a joke, greens are shaggy and spongy, and plenty of burnout spots in the fairways. Poor value for the money, and has been this way since my last round here a few years ago. Hope someone can turn it around...

Not bad, but overpriced for the conditions

Good: Great layout and a very interesting/ challenging course. Staff was great as well.

Bad: The current conditions just don't warrant a $100 price tag. Bunkers in awful shape all around with some unplayable altogether. And it's not a coronavirus thing... they've clearly been left to rot for quite some time. Rough was very spotty on many holes. Lastly, it turned out to be the longest round I've ever played at 5+ hours.

Ultimately, would I recommend? Yes. At the same time, I'll be visiting a handful of other courses before coming back again, if that even happens. Reduce your rates to match the conditions provided to patrons.

Not Ready for Prime Time

Great layout, but it's clear they're just trying to bring in money while getting the course into better shape. Greens were aerated weeks ago (according to the site), but were in just awful shape. Was cartpath only but not entirely sure why. The rough was arguably worse than the greens given there doesn't appear to be any attempt at improving it. I was not asked by anyone for parting thoughts on the course, but my prepared remark was "layout was great, let us know when you finish construction on the course". Not worth the reduced fee, try something else. This place will just leave you wondering "if it were only in better shape...". Very disappointing all the way through.

Not worth it

Overpriced for what you’re getting and conditions were quite poor considering the fee of $85. Fairways and rough were extremely patchy and inconsistent. Greens, I’ve never seen anything like it- any sort of approach shot will bounce as if you were hitting into a patch of cement. BUT when putting, they’re only at about a 10 on the stimp. Beyond that I’d get a little nit picky... layout was boring and in some cases (17) just silly. Range mats needed replacement about a year ago. Staff was great, so not all bad, and they had a nice welcoming fire pit going outside the clubhouse which was unique. All in all, even if you’re in the area, skip this one.
