The Lake at Grand National Golf Course
Played On 05/14/2014Will definitely return!
Friendly and helpful staff. I had a tee time or 8:30 but they advised going a half hour earlier to play by myself for speed. I am a speed player anyway. I finished in just over 3 hours. I took my time and enjoyed the beautiful scenery today. The fairways were well groomed and soft dirt so divots were easy to take. Two buckets of sand on the new carts was well used. The greens held shots well and the flag locations at position 3 today were very accessible, yet hidden conveniently behind a lot of hazards. They say these greens are like fortress', But RTJ seems to leave a drawbridge down for the player if they are willing to sacrifice going for the stick every time. The Bermuda rough around the green was like velcro. Although it was cut short, putting out of it was still nasty. Chipping provided better results.Would definitely recommend and will return.

Played On 03/30/2014Great experience, scenic beauty.
I have lived in columbus for 5 years and decided to trek up to play the Lakes Course. It was a little busy on Sunday Aft. So they put me on the Mtn course for the same rate. Great Layout, Grass was just beginning to come back to greenery. The greens were still a bit dormant and a bit sketchy (March 30th). The scenery though was fantastic. I can't say enough about it. Challenging greens due to small size, but not overly complicated like Maple Ridge or as big as Bull Creek. Would definitely recommend the excursion out for anyone!!!
Palm at McCormick Ranch Golf Club
Played On 10/8/2013Super Slick
Layout was great, greens were challenging. Water was well incorporated. The manicured edges around hazards were just what you would expect from a high end Country club. I particularly enjoyed hearing the group name over the loud speaker announcing when you were to go to the first tee box.
Our group had a great time and we got a GREAT deal through GolfNow!!!
This course in Oct. was tough, due to the changing of grass from Bermuda to rye for the winter months.
Super fast fairways and greens & deep Bermuda rough. I gave up the scorecard at hole 12 and started having a lot of fun. Hitting out of the rough was like a USGA setup. So I would find my ball, throw it into the fairway, hit a great shot, and lose the ball again. Because nothing I hit would stick in the fairway or on the green. Everything ran right off and got lost in the salad or the water.
Please see first paragraph, again.
Dinosaur Mountain at Gold Canyon Golf Resort
Played On 10/7/2013Course was long!
We played from the blue setup and really had a great day. The vistas were excellent, the layout and elevation changes took you breath away.
We played in Oct, and everything was dry after 7 days of no water in preparation for changing over to Rye from Bermuda for the winter. This course, with green grass would be fantastic. But we had a great time considering what we paid thanks to GolfNow! The group had a great time.
Maple Ridge Golf Club
Played On 7/11/2013Greens Aeration
The day was cool and damp. Overcast. Mid to upper 70's. Very un-Georgia like conditions for July! The greens were coated over with sand due to aeration and seeding. A course HAS to do this I believe twice a season in order to maintain proper conditions. That's the reason for the deal!
I am ALWAYS frustrated by this course for the fact that the greens are so infuriating! Fast and undulating. With a two putt rule in effect though, it took the bite completely out of the course! I had a great time and shot a great round. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone at anytime. The staff is always helpful and courteous, the conditions are usually spectacular.

Played On 6/10/2013I love this course!
I live in Georgia and come up here to visit family and get some GREAT golf in! This course is my favorite in the area. We played the Falls last time and I wanted to spend a bit more try the wetter side. It certainly did not disappoint. Will definitely be back to play it again! Awesome.
Excellent grass
The groundskeeper here needs a raise. The range guy should get a reduction in wages. When I got there at 1230, all the range balls were out on the driving range. So I made do with some scraps around the chipping green and warmed up on the putting green, which a fellow competitor decided to use as a chipping green, when that was 5 feet away.
The tee boxes, fairways and greens were manicured very nicely. The rough would suck in a ball and make it disappear. Only when you were standing directly over it could you see it. The narrow fairways then became a must land type of situation for any chance at birdie or par. I thought the sand traps were very nice, if not a bit dusty.
I had troubles on the front 9, but I started enjoying myself a LOT more on the back 9. I would probably play abain, especially for the value.
