White at Tunxis Country Club
Played On 07/19/2014Good course to play when you're just looking to get on the course
Fairways are in good condition, greens and tees are well taken care of. Most holes, no need to hit driver but if you have decent control you can leave yourself with short wedges to the green. The green course is the better of the two 18 hole layouts at Tunxis, with a variety of holes and golf shots.

This golf course if really out of the way but it's worth the drive if you're looking to try something new. The golf course has array of challenging holes but is also short enough from the white tees to make the golf course enjoyable for higher handicap golfers. The back tees are a challenge for single digit handicap golfers so mix up your foursome and go play this course, it's in good shape and always fun to play (rounds are always quick too).

The course (Player course) is short and requires good control with 3 wood or 5 wood from the back tees. The course is in good shape but the cups had grass growing over the lip all the way around which made putting difficult. Teed off at 4:30 and played 18-holes as twosome, so the pace was good. Overall a fun layout in pretty good condition, not too expensive, god place to spend an afternoon.
