Course is always in horrific shape

I played the Golf club of Texas all throughout high school, and the summer after I graduated is when the course went through their 6 million dollar renovation. I hadn’t played the course in 5 years and was excited to get back and see how it was improved. Not only were the greens in horrid condition, but you couldn’t tell the difference between fairway and rough which is the whole point of playing a nice golf course. It looked like all the renovation went towards the shop and they didn’t touch the course, only switched the 9’s. I’m doing everyone a favor by saying save your money or play a municipal course somewhere closer to downtown, it’s most definitely worth more than to drive all the way out to the middle of nowhere and spend $60 to hit a ball down a brown field and putt across dried up dirt and a few blades of grass. Hopefully they can close down soon and put a real course out there, it’s great land with lots of development around it. If anything, the course lowers the value of everything out there. Disappointed in the way they market the course too, making it look so pure and beautiful when in reality it’s nothing but a junkyard with 18 flagsticks scattered around. SAVE YOUR MONEY
