Blue Ridge Country Club
Played On 08/08/2014PGA Tour Eligible Golf Course
This course was the best I have ever played on! Excellent greens and fairway with challenging bunkers. The staff were very nice and the grounds crew do an awesome job at maintaining this course. The opening tee looks like the opening tee at The Greenbrier. Some of the holes remind of both The Greenbrier and Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland. I truly believe this course can host a PGA Tour event. It could even host the U.S. Open or the PGA Championship. Awesome course!
Summit Hills Golf Club
Played On 07/05/2014Good Overall, has some problems
This course has good character. The fairways are very hilly, so it makes it very challenging. The holes are unmarked, so it was very confusing through out the round. The cart paths are very bumpy, so we used the rough and fairway. There is no grounds crew, so the greens are brown and the bunkers are muddy and hard to get out of. It is not the worst golf course I have been to.
Pine Meadows Golf Club
Played On 06/22/2014Very Challenging Golf course
This course is a really nice golf course. Has lots of swamps and natural wetlands. Those add a challenge on some holes. A lot of elevated greens that have wetlands right under it. Overall it is a awesome course.
Monroe Valley Golf Course
Played On 05/24/2014Okay course, not the worst
This course is pretty good. It has a lot of trees, so it makes it harder to get it on the fairway. Some of the greens and fairways were brown, which stopped the ball. The rough was not too tall, but was tough to get out of. It isn't good enough to be on the PGA Tour, but has good character.
