Played here a few times before . Course in great condition for the amount of rain and time of year . My only complaint would be the 4 ball in front of me !! I was playing alone . My tee off time was 3:04pm a quick 18 holes before it got dark !! Unfortunately it took me 2 hours 15 mins for 9 holes very painful!! The 4 ball in front had no intention of letting me play through although there was another 4 ball 3 holes in front of them . I’m not sure if they were members or not but surely any decent golfers would have waved me through . They had plenty of chances to let me on hole 3,4,5,6,7,8,9 on pines .Luckily for me got onto Forest and did the 9 holes in 1hour 20.

I booked on the Golf Now app 1Golfer £9 which at the time thought it was a steal !!! How wrong was I !! I turned up 10 mins before my Tee time went into the Pro shop and was told I’d booked in with a party of 3 to make up a 4 ball ??? When on the booking it clearly stated 1Golfer . The Pro in the shop said it was ok to play on my own as it wasn’t that busy . Which was a total lie . Got to the 1st tee and tee’d off at my set time . There was a 2 ball in front which I caught up on the 3rd and I asked if I could join in with them which they kindly accepted. Proceeded along with the said 2 golfers which 1was a member . Got to the 5th hole and it just looked like a free for all Golf course !!! The fairways 4/5 of the holes was in absolute terrible condition with large sections cut out of the fairways leaving just bare mud . Absolute shocking for a Golf course that was so good last time I visited a couple of years ago . The amount of people on the course was an absolute joke . Obviously no tee times were adhered too because of the wait times on the tees . The straw that broke the camels back shall we say was a 17 minute wait on one tee !!!!!!!!!!! I left after only playing 6 holes in total disbelief!! This is such a shame because it does have the potential to be a really good course . I would have much rather spent £9 down the range if I’m honest and WILL NOT be returning any time soon . Please if your a half decent golfer don’t waste your time or money . Oh and I know it’s a municipal course but there are levels !!!

Arrived Half hour before Tee Time. . Had a practice putt . Practice greens not quite the same as on course greens . The course was in pretty good shape . Some greens were ok but majority pretty good . Tee boxes could do with a cut . Pace of play was excellent. . Could do with a few more directions to the “Next Hole” . Didn’t use the bar afterwards so couldn’t comment. I’d give it 7.5 out of 10 Overall

What a fantastic course this is . The Golf Pro in the shop was very helpful and very polite . The course itself is absolutely fantastic even though it was a bit wet . If you like your Golf you need to play here . I’ll definitely be coming back in the warmer months for sure

If your a regular golfer of a decent standard stay away at all costs . Fairways are poor . Greens are not much better . Pace of play is very slow . Five balls on the course . There seems to be no etiquette on the course what so ever . There are far better courses around than paying £20 for this one . Will not be returning

Played a couple of times now . Brilliant little course .Not too demanding . Would recommend if in the area
